Okay, played it a bit - here's what I discovered so far:
First of all, going 3D means that the environment is far less detailed which was to be expected. There's still the top down view, but no a 3rd person mode too.
The biggest problem so far is that the controls are far from intuitive and don't always seem to work correctly - there's a bit of lag when you try to do things like change your skill which is very annoying in a game like this. I hope this is just due to my inexperience, but I really hope it gets better on - or can get patched if need be.
Graphics are fine - not amazing - and the game is pretty slow with everything turned on on my 7800GT but that's not too bad.

btw. 3d desperados will never be the same game which Despearados was. Check Commandos and old Commandos 2 and 3. Newest Commandos is piece of sh..t. Newest Desperados wont be better. Dunno what you guys are thinking but i think that most of new pc games should never been released on pc. they are simple and short as most of console games :/

What the hell are you talking about? Why do people insist on speaking out on things they don't know anything about. Clearly you didn't play the new Desperado yet, so why say "won't be any better" ?
Commandos Strike Force was no longer top down tactics and mouse controls, Desperados 2 IS but has an optional 3rd person view. Play the game first, THEN start whining.

it's not tags it's tagès. But that's a good remark, I wonder how it can work and how they made a working image of tagès in that case. Anyone actually tried the ITW release?

followed the nfo exactly, and it still asks for original cd!!!

i for one hope for a proper release from RELOADED
because i can't get the unleashed release to work no matter what i do short of burning it i like the convience of mountin in daemon click play so come on reloaded
HEH!!!!!! update got it to work by choosin in curerom that i do not want to use emulation software mounted it manually and bada bing it worked YAY LOL!!!
no one can harm me now that i have my
cheesehelmet on!!!!!

for version itwins :
1.unrar itw-d2cr-tools.rar in a temp dir and overwrite desperados2.exe file with desperados2.exe in this rar
2.Mount mdf+mds in DT4
3.Open Alcohol
4.Create image in format mds/mdf
5.Overwrite mds new file image with mds in the rar
6.Mount MDF+MDS (Mdf=new,Mds=Old)
7.Copy asr.exe in a main folder of Desperados2 and use this tool
8.Enjoy!
