It seems that Valve really wants to kill its MP gaming community. Why the hell would anyone bay valve to play their shitty games on tournaments.
Like there are loads of multiplayer games that dont have crap steam protection and dont require any tournament license or crap like that.
Quake, Return To Castle Wolfenstein, RTC Enemy territory, Unreal Tournament and other good FPS + other games that some like to play.
Valve is really fucked up. First this crap steam then this VAC that scares me little bit (I never and ever will cheat but if some reason vac decides something is wrong with my game then I will loose all my games forever  ).
Nice job valve. If valve keeps this up I will never buy any games from them. Just going to dl them all 
It would be fun if because of this no one will play their games on lanparties  That would teach them to mess with us

error. Its just some bug on this web page.
If you press submit it gives (sometimes) a error. So people press submit again. And that’s why there are some double post. And they are to lazy to delete it  |

Valve? Valve Who? Screw the fat hippie and his retard friends. I will never pay for a license to be able to play on a Lanparty with my friends on my own freaking network with my own freaking bought games.. If this get through i swear i will never buy a valve game again..
Its like selling a car for 40 grand and then charge the owner each 6 month another 2 grand because he is freaking using the damn car on a highway!!!

As far as I can tell, this whole thing really only applies to those big corperate sponsered type tourneys. Besides, if you want to run a small local thing, I doubt valve will come after you.

considering cs and css are valve games bit hard to not have them at a tourney.

Ok, but I still don't get it? Are people forcing you at gunpoint to host counter strike tournaments? To me, the obvious thing would be, if this pisses people off, they won't host CS tournies anymore, and Valve loses. If it doesn't piss people off and they continue to host tournies "with valve's permission" (and as stated before they don't care they had to get it) who loses? No one?
I just can't see myself getting all bent outta shape over this. It's like 1 fps franchise out of 4 fucking trillion. Big deal. If valve wants to piss people off let them, but I don't see how this even affects anyone here. So why are you all "waah wahh waaaaaahing"??
oh noes valve wants us to get permission to play their games, boo hoo and they won't let me play my stolen hacked copy either, waah wahh....
Again, am I missing something here?
