The stupid thing is that in europeit will be like 599euro at least, then you have taxes and shit.No PS3 for me . Gonna buy the box instead. MS will probebly make the box cheaper when ps3 hits the street.

It will be 599 euro with the taxes i'm sure. The conversion from dollars to euro about covers the tax so I dont see why they'd raise it.
Still it's a bit of a piss take really.

no consoles for me for now... i hate them. could be fun having a wii on the living room tho. seems fun to play drunk around with some friends.
besides, ps3 with its blu-ray, gonna take years to hack it.

So the console itself should be cheap. I don't mind paying abit for ps3, but only if its easy chipable.

Doubt that, ms is already selling each console on loss i think.
What sony should do is make more then one console, make a budget ps3 that regular people can buy, as downgraded as possible or something like that. They cant expect to sell much at those prices.

the uk has an added tax onto the EU tax though usually. So 599 is a safe bet. Still way too much though unless blu-ray playback is amazing and you want a blue-ray player. I can't see it though. Look at how far DVd's have come in the last 5 years.(yes I know DVD's have been out way longer)
