Shocker
 The evil dead

 Not a lot of films scare me but shocker used to give me nightmares. If I watched it now it'd probably be cheesey as fuck though, but I was scared of 'the man in the electric chair' as I used to call it

					| That's more of a court-room drama than a horror, though. Pretty descent movie though. |  |

 I'll pfffffft you!

 I liked The Descent ... Dog Soldiers (same director's previous effort) was pretty good too!

 The Descent is just coming out in the theatres here now!

 PFFT!

 Well, I didn´t like it
  Story was a bit simple-minded for me.. some things WERE predictable. And the ending was just a bad excuse for not coming up with something better. But sure, making horror flicks is pretty hard, making a good plot and implementing the horror-part (with monsters) and not making it look stupid or ridiculous. But the remake of Dawn of the Dead pulls it off really good, making the scenario very believable imo. The people in the movie are more or less portrayed as regular people, to wich you can relate to, rather than the typical action heroes. And i love the different personalities they have.

					| very few of the films mentioned here are deserving of the "horror" title
very few really scare me beyond "spooky", cheap scares or just plain tension or gore
 so here are films deserving of "horror" title, by me;
 Alien (first one)
 the eye (korean)
 the thing (carpenter '82 version)
 trinity & beyond (documentary, yes.. all the more scary to see what horror nuclear weapons really are)
 dancer in the dark (while not horror per se either, it's the only film i've seen that's genuinely sad and really touched me, so i'd elevate it to the same level)
