I'm planning on buying it if Provision doesn't fix this within the week. I feel I'm getting ripped though D: I already have HL2:DM, HL:DM, and HL:LC...

I bought Sims 2, Splinter Chaos Theory and Trackmania Sunrise last year. Would actually have paid money for Htiman Blood money as well. Also bought HL2 when it came out.
Anyways....busy completely steering off topic.

HL2: Episode 1 ftw! Woohoo....(back on topic) Very Happy

Yeah, BM is worth buying imo. But since I'm a cheap ass.... I don't buy any SF games >< I got trackmania 1 free from the store I bought HL2 from. I installed it on my dads comp and he couldn't burn anything at all before I uninstalled the SF drivers. It gave the burning software a runtime error. >< I'm still waiting for HL2 :EP1 to come out as a torrent since IRC hates me, and I mainly torrnet stuff anyway..

The release works fine, just use a good firewall to block outgoing, or just turn off your internet while playing the game.

Yup, a couple minutes after starting the game tries to connect to the Internet..just block it permanently and it won't bug you again.

It's very easy if u have firewall like ZoneAlarm : first time the game launch, it will poup a message like "hl2.exe want to access internet". Just select deny and u'll be ok !

Anyone else got these missing textures at the beginning? When you enter the citadel some walls have missing textures, so you only see those pink/black squares

When running the game, ALT CTRL DEL, and goto applications. Choose the one running HL2:E1 and right click and goto process. Block that one. Unless its HL2.exe >< then if you block it you''ll never get to play online via steam ><
