I get this error even when I use secure rom 7.2

Emulator detected!
Please deactivate virtual drive and emulation software.

I mounted with DT and then ran Secure Rom...still doesn't work.

Can anyone help?

thanks

tried prostop...did not work either.

I had similiar probs with Star Wars Empire at War..but secure rom loader did the trick. Not with this one. When I use the secure rom loader and set it to the stacked.exe...nothing happens. Nothing starts to load.

Bummer...interested in seeing this one.

Its 1.2 Try that. If it doesn't work, try curerom. If that doesn't work, I say bad release. xD

Are any of your Emulations ON in DT? If so, disable them all, then try again with pr0t.st0p or any other blocker.

I and about a thousand other people are having the same problem that Nittany and S_F_H have reported. I have seen people talking about this on other sites and no one has come up with "useful" suggestions. I have turned off emulation and I have turned it on, I have turned on only some and also I even tried reinstalling Daemon Tools just to make sure. Its weird though cause even double clicking Stacked results in NOTHING. It just shows the usual hourglass symbol then..... nothing!!! Not a d*mn thing. Its like it forgets what it was doing or something. I know this game isnt that great but I would still like to know why it keeps doing this. Hell I even tried running windows in safe mode and it was still (of course) a no go.
Either way its pretty irritating.

Well I can confirm that uninstalling Alcohol will fix this. I have been tryin to figure this out since yesterday and after reading in the game forums somebody suggested to do this. It works. So give that a try, should fix it. Now I just have to figure out why its Window and not Full Screen. Haven't looked into it yet though.

Ok, I got it...
Alcohol120% has to totally be uninstalled along with reg entries.
Must have latest Daemon installed.
I have original, so I can't speak for emu hiders, but it would not do a thing until I finished those task.
To remove Alcohol, do the following (ver3105)
1.run "regedit"
2.Find
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{E9F81423-211E-46B6-9AE0-38568BC5CF6F}", then delete that.
3.Find
"HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\32418F9EE1126B64A90E8365B85CFCF6",
then delete that.
4.After you delete these value´s, Alcohol 120% is removed from you OS

Go to control panels/system/hardware/device manager, find under "SCSI and RAID controllers" the AXV SCSI controller, and remove it.
Also remove Plug and Play Bios Extension from System Devices.

start regedit.exe then go to HKey_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Services here you should fínd the Keys for the Alcohol Driver in the current version (1.9.5.3105) Vax347b and Vax347s, delete these Keys and remove corresponding files from Windows\System32\Drivers folder.

Reboot.

I believe I solved the mystery of the stolen cookie crisp pie

what I did:

1. Uninstalled Alcohol 120%

2. Downloaded the latest version of daemon tools 4 which is 4.0.4 or something like that.

3. Started updating my daemon tools. It asked to reboot before finishing the installation proccess

4. Reboot when it asks you to do that.

5. Finish the installation proccess

6. use latest securom loader, 1.2 I believe

voila, it works, it works, even getting online works, however, there is nobody playing online. I only downloaded it for the contest that was mentioned on tv, I'de rather play poker for money when I have some to spare.
