I have a little question about MSDN, is it supposed to be freeware? if so, where can I get the latest library in ISO format?

No its not "freeware" and it isn't an application (your question made it sound as if you thought it was..).. MSDN is the Microsoft Developer Network a subscription based service that allows developers to get copies of software before they are released (or after) for use as directed dependent on subscription type. This is mostly used by developers when they are creating software to be used along side a new MS product such as Vista..

There are free licenses but you need to be in a full time education course and your college/university has to be a member of the scheme..

Maybe he was talking about the MSDN Library syn, that's still free for online browsing i think. But you can only download from MSDN with a subscription, like syn said.
