Ship Simulator 2006 is a revolutionary new sim game that puts players at the
helm of some of the most varied and detailed ships to be found at sea, where
they will need to perform a multitude of tasks, all set within a stunning
3D environment. Players will take control of a wide array of ship types,
from massive cargo ships to speedboats, yachts, water taxis and even the
mighty Titanic. The waters you sail are also as varied as the ships, from
the biggest harbours in the world, such as Rotterdam and Hamburg, to the
calm aqua marine waters of the Thai Phi Phi Islands. Gamers will experience
how challenging it is to steer the Titanic through shallow water, or just
how it feels to navigate a cargo tanker or tug boat - including how diverse
the controls are.

I tried the demo, and it is the worst ship game ever.
The physics SUCKS
the graphics SUCKS
the game lags damn mutch (most user are around 10-20fps)
Sound is fucking sucky
the AI is more stupid than a fucking chair.
The sea is ALWAYS blank.
Never a wake. not even 5cm high.
I hate you.

I didn't want to try out the demo, but they said the full was better, so I will try it out for sure.
PC: Yes. Console: No.

Omg.
Just tried the fullversion, and it sucks as mutch as the demo.
Graphics as bad as in the demo.
The physics in the boats are so fucking bad.
It's the worst physics ever in a boat game.
And the sounds.. ugh.. they make my head hurt!
The game gets superboring after 15min.
Virtual Sailor, Motorboat Simulator and Poc3D is so mutch better.
The developers should be shot 1000 times for calling this a simulator.
It can't get more arcade.
I hate you.

If your interested in boats at all you'll like it.
A little patience and a little adventure and your set.
Only complaint I have is the lack of swells; the water for the most part is motionless.
Doesn't take the fun out of the game but would have added some cool situations.
Look forward to patches or addons for more boats and maybe even more water motion.
Enjoy.

even if it wouldve been realistic, i really dont see where the fun would be to just cruise over the ocean with a ship...weeeee water everywhere, so fun, yayyyy i just cruise over there now, that water looks cool...oh noes, i see land, i just turn around...

700mb this days aint bandwith ,some demos could be twise as much,not to mention game after installation only 300mb another 300mb is just tutorials to watch outside the game in .WMV format,so for 300mb game without any kinda protection those guys did pretty good job,i might even buy it if it will ever reach our shops

then again i personaly tired from all those fps,racing games etc...,something new & quiet for a change

Well here in Germany we have a long weekend (Thursday and Friday off  ) AND! Germany plays tonight and SWE!!!! tomorrow. So, yea would be nice with some new stuff but I guess one will be occupied as it is. And the weather in central Europe is absolutely HOT!!! 30-32 C, so , again one should not really complain
