That's why I stopped playing BF2, because of all the retards.
NO Teamwork at all, and 60% of the team was waiting all the time for a plane or a tank or something to take..

Thats why you get into a clan. I can't say for BF2, because I only ever played the demo, which was exactly as you describe although it could still be fun. But in warcraft 3 once I got into a clan the quality of the battles improved immensely.

Yeah, clans make online shooters way better.
I played AA for a long ass time and playing with friends is way more fun.
Never had any friends when I played UO tho  I murdered to many ppl i think

I pissed enough ppl off still Cause then they'd see me in the other land where they couldnt do anything and bitch and complain that i robbed them

Sadly enough this happens on a lot of bf2 servers. However there are some great servers out there frequently admined by admins for real and kicking dumbasses.
Whenever I find one they go straight into favs and I just stay away from regular EA server as they never have any admins.
Also as some already said, playing with friends makes it much more fun. I am a member of the clan swemedics and we are 4-5 guys that plays a lot of public while using ventrilo to talk and have fun. Without them I probably wouldn't play BF2 any longer.
But I gotta admit, I vehicle whore sometimes too. However I never block or TK for the vehicles either so if someone gets it before I accept that and wait until they die and grabs it then.

I play BF2 alot but only on a couple of servers one being my clan server and another that has an admin on almost 24/7. just llast night while i was playing some ass kept complaining on my clan's server that it was "his plane" and since there is no TK on my server he can't do shit bout it. All he did was keep complaining and since almost all of my clan was on he was warned got into an argument and swore at the second in command of the clan and was nearly banned. The reason he wasn't banned is unknown to me, but it was funny as hell making fun of him.

I've gotten sick of BF2 myself. The FIR (Fucking Idiot Ratio) in that community is reaching new heights and there is no end in sight. Every idiot and their mother runs for that helo. now, no matter if they suffer from blindness or parkinsons. Thus, I've hung up my helo pilot tags (though somehow still hold a steady #16 rank last I checked on the official leaderboards), and have moved on to Red Orchestra.
Although it can prove to be extremely frustrating at times its simply magical when you pull the trigger on that Luger just once, and lo and behold, your TARGET DIES. That's right, one shot kills to the head/chest region, not half a clip like in BF2 or Counter Strike or any other bullshit shooters.
The community is much more mature, although granted, much smaller than others. That said, it makes for one hell of a tactical WW2 experience, and each and every kill feels rewarding. I just wish the community was a tad bigger and it had a few more full servers.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.
