ANd it is a real image of flatout 2 but it cannot be played because it has starforce protection. We have to wait for a crack to play in combination with this iso

Very Happy Excellent resolution! more crap at board, better I feel me, Hi, crap Friend, next time you need just some proper little crack's to run proper the big crap.

Useless to mount a starshit ISO file in DT or other virtual drive, that can't work! but it's possible that a proper *.MDS *.MDF can run with DT and unpluged ide 2 etc...

hi boys n girls, i've found some .mds out there on the net.. Does anybody know something about it?

FN: Flatout_2_ID1511[Copybase.ch].mds, 39 398 bytes

The file is a valid media descriptor (alcohol regonized it), contains one track, it's size is 4,28 GiG, so it seems matching with that hommade iSO's size..

I think new daemon tools (at least good beta) should come out earlier. And after I read the Flatout 2 official (linked from flatout 2 homepage) forum it seems that there is not going to be a demo or at least its not planned.

I would love to buy this game but its not available yet where I live (crap hole: good games usually arrive late and with huge price tag).

I found a way how to run this game... with Windows Vista Beta 2.

Use Daemon-Tools v3.33 or the newest v4.03 to mount the image (before installing v4.03 you need to manually install the new SPTD v1.25 drivers). You'll need a RMPS .mds file, which you can grab at copybase.ch.

Now you can normally start and play the game and you don't have to unplug any IDE drives.

Is seems that Starforce isn't able to detect that you are using Daemon-Tools, like in Windows XP where you always receive a "Emulation Software detected" error.

I wasn't able to find what causes the error under XP. Something is blacklisted I think, but I don't know what. I tried to delete many registry paths related to the virtual drive but without success.

Good way for those who can be bothered to install a buggy beta operating system, I guess (and those suckers who can't be bothered to support the devs).
