I was going to say this. Not monkey island one or two or 4. This is probably the most appealing on the eyes and the gameplay is probably the most intuitive as well as 'realistic'. Ok it's a bit rediculous at the same time but the puzzles such as the gold tooth in the bubble and the quicksand are really nice.
Other than this i'd say Broken Sword. My milf likes this series and has played through it too. The voice acting, setting, storyling etc. are all amazing and as long as she doesn't break your PC getting past the goat in Ireland she'll have a good time

Since it wasn't that easy to get hold of Syberia, The Longest Journey or Grim Fandango we installed Dreamfall. We have now played it for maybe 3 hours. Personaly, i think it is a little "straight forward" and easy, but i guess it will be more challenging soon?
My girlfriend enjoy the game to, but the steering isn't as fluid as she would have liked.
Hope it isn't true as you said Adagio.81, your description of Dramfall doesn't sound like much fun!
Thank you all for your input on the topic.
By the way, has anyone played any Nancy Drew - games? They are FPS-adventures right?

Well, some people do like the game, I'm just not one of them and from the look of the official forum shortly after release I wasn't the only one who was dissapointed with the game
The game doesn't get any harder than the beginning, the first 3 hours are actually the most difficult hours, then after 3 hours you know how the game plays (which is basicly running from point A to point B, do something, then run back to point A... and the game spells everything out for you). I usually need walkthroughs to beat adventure games, but this game is too easy to need a walkthrough (unless you've never played an adventure game in your life)
Of those who complained about this game, there were two things they all mentioned: The difficulty (just put your brain in 'relax' mode, you wont need it) and the ending (you know how the endings in Lost usually are... the ending in this game makes the endings in Lost actually look complete. It sure seems like they rushed the game to get it out in time, cutting out the ending)

Check out what she likes...my girlfriend is totally into music and a long time ago i brought her "Loom" which is all about music, notes and is even controlled by clicking on sound icons. She went crazy about it and went a long way...from adventures over RTS to roleplaying games like Neverwinter and Oblivion.
But for girls generally building games are very attractive...Sims 2 or Sim City. My GF hates "having" to fight in games. Except for Battlefield 2 which she enjoys very much.
