CRT monitors are way better. My friend has an LCD and the ghosting problem that DeCaPsUlEuR has spoken of is a big problem. Dont think even of an LCD monitor.

You can think of an LCD monitor if you are willing to pay big bucks for one with a really quick response time, so ghosting isn't a problem.

He's right. CRT would probably be the best for you. If you can afford it, buy an Illyama as they make the best quality CRTs i've ever seen.

no i have a viewsonic 19'', VG910, really nice for craphics, the game runs fine, when i bought it i could see the "ghost", but now i am ussed to it, and if u have a good video card, the latest, u wont even reallise the "ghost". lcd is the way to go now no, question about it

I have a LCD 19" with no ghosting, but Im not a gamer. Go for a CRT, youll get better quality for a better price. The only draw back on CRT is the size compared to a LCD.

use both,the lcd for general internet stuff and get a crt for gaming....best of both worlds
