Funny since barbarian invasion seemed to be cracked easily by rld...

In all honesty I WOULD buy it, but that limit on activations is BULLSHIT. If I buy something, I have earned the right to download and activate that fucker as many times as I damn well please, not 5 times. I reformat quite often, and Ill be damned if they are going to tell me how many times I can activate something I bought. Fuck Trymedia and fuck Creative Assembly for using them. Cheap cunts. Have lost respect for them for opting for such a cheap way of distribution.

What? If you buy it, you can only activate it (uninstall then reinstall) 5 times? Wtf is that?

They are. But the CD version (bought in stores) has the same TryMedia activation shit as the downloadable version. Thus, you can only activate it x number of times. Read this from a user on the RTW boards. He could be wrong, but I dun think so.
EDIT: The only way you can get this expansion in disc form is by buying the Rome: Total War Eras collection that ships on 7/18/06 for $60. It includes RTW - RTW: BI - RTW: Alexander (but again, this is still the download activation version a disc I believe)

Hey all,
I'm wondering if the disk version is slightly different to the downloaded version. I used the crack on a 488mb downloaded archive which installed alexander correctly but once cracked just ticked over at 99% cpu as already described. Just wondering if people have tried this patch with installs from disk images - I know this is unlikely but i'm cracking up at this point. Anyway I'm downloading a couple of images in the off chance... Anybody notice the size of the cracked exe - 21mb compared to 6 in the original.

The new crack is fooked as well... well on mine it is anyway. Gets to menu and you can navigate around but try any battle and it takes you straight back to the desktop. The campaign you can get to the battle map and move around but once again go to any battle and it boots you straight to the desktop.

Yeah the new one gets further but crashes back to the desktop before you get to the battlemap - talk about a wreck the head

Ok...100 Turns is all you get? I know this addon is supposed to be more about action and Alexander's conquests but fuck....how the hell can you create enough guys to take over the persian empire?
Anyone know a turn cheat?
Oh, the Money cheat, Building cheat and population cheat still work
