unless they've made significant improvements it sucked hard. Cheating was rampant, lag was horrible. 90% of your kills in actual combat (not snipers or vehicles) resulted in you dying as well because of the lag.

How can it be massively multiplayer online, when the maps shown are only 16, 24, and 36 players? Load a' crap.

CS is the most overrated game ever, warrock is much better when compared to that POS.

The game is being updated with new weapons and vehicles, planes, choppers, boats... but lag is still a problem but I believe they're working on it, and it's FREE!! you can't ask for too much, imo it's a fun game well worth a try.

I've tried it and:

Pro:
- Free + almost every day new updates (how many games are released in beta-stage in the shops + have almost no support after that?)

- The game runs very smooth on older systems

- Great ragdoll effects

- Teamplay (Battlefield series, Counterstrike, Call of Duty etc...)

- Gameplay is fun when on a good server + sitting in a good team

- Level up system and buying new weapons is fun

- GFX are good, looks a bit like Battlefield1942 (I hate it when people start complaining the gfx are not up to date, it's the gameplay that counts, right?)

Contra:
- Some servers have tooooo much lag (I typed something, it appeared 2mins later, like wtf?)

- Not too many maps atm

- Controls are not adjustable
---------------------------------------

The game looks promising to me Smile

You are clearly insane to put the graphics on the pro-list. Good graphics is always a plus.

Pass this game up. It is no good, rather than play this free *bf2 ripoff*, go buy bf2.

This is nothing compared to bf2, will never compare, don't know why it was compared in the first place.

fuck linux.

It is BUT Too much concern over gfx is screwing the game's market, a really good game is rare nowadays because they spend 2/4 of their time making gfx instead of the most important thing, GAMEPLAY Wink

Edit: and though I never played BF2 before I'm sure warrock's choppers take more skill to pilot which is a plus for me.

that fraction makes no sense Rolling Eyes

go back to school.

And warrocks physics make it so simple to fly either plane or heli, no gravity in the game, or so it seems when flying.

fuck linux.

Maybe I should give it more of a go, but I just couldn't shake the "this fucking sucks" feeling when I tried it out recently.

Seems like a game that should have been out 5 years ago.

Indeed, even with this engine the game is playable on a wide range of machines (minimum req. is a 800 Mhz machine). A lot of games with even worse gfx are playable on a machine with minimum 1500 Mhz and still need updates to get it running.
A big plus is that this engine has some great ragdoll effects.

Warrock is focused more on gameplay then gfx and is constantly updated. Offcourse it's still beta, but after that it stays free + it still gets updates (just like the MMORPG's).
