Why is the crack on cd1?

Not long ago, 3 years or something. All the groups who released something that required you to use a crack or something similar (mostly pc-games) placed the cracks the last cd (cd2, cd3 or whatever).

Once the installation had finished, could just copy the crack instead of having to swap cd's back to cd1.

I know its nothing big and most games are on dvd now, but why did they change it to place the cracks on cd1? What’s the point? it was better just leaving it at the last cd.

A lot of games require you to put CD1 back into the drive to complete installation..

Makes sense, since most games way back when usually came out on 1 cd. Now most games come on 1 DVD, for the exceptions of games that come on 2 or more cd's. Also the cracker only needs the first cd to break any protection on the cd whether the cd itself or the exe file. So it makes sense that once he's done, he just posts his cracks on that first cd.
