I’m religious if I’m in the mood for it.

But personally I prefer to let my mind drift while being guided by logic.

I am superstitious and spiritual but not in a religious way.
I am a huge faith mix up, organised religion doesn’t appeal to me.

Voted NO

Fuck no. When I was a kid my mom made me go to those christian teaching classes where a priest teaches a bunch of kids about jesus and stuff. Well because I never went to church on a sunday the priest asked me why am I not attending mass and I was honest and said: "Well my mom makes me go to your classes and the problem is I know there is no god." He was got so angry by this from a 10 year old that he said I should no longer come to church. That's how I got my freedom Very Happy

'Rationality beats faith and scripted beliefs'. That's what I think about religions. Yeah, there is a reason why to believe in something powerful but all this teaching and 2000 old values contradict with todays rational thinking very often.

Voted yes by mistake Very Happy

I would reall like to believe in my religious but my logic says it's impossible. So i dunno, i havn't decided yet Razz

But i don't do all the religious stuff, like not eating meat and cheese together, or not turning electricity on on shabbat, and stuff like that... I'm totally free of these things, and i don't care about all of these religion "rules".

Here you go, mathematical proof that God exists Very Happy Razz

Quote:
Gödel's ontological proof

Gödel's ontological proof is a formalization of Saint Anselm's ontological argument for God's existence by the mathematician Kurt Gödel.

St. Anselm's ontological argument, in its most succinct form, is as follows: "God, by definition, is that than which a greater cannot be thought. God exists in the understanding. If God exists in the understanding, we could imagine Him to be greater by existing in reality. Therefore, God must exist." A more elaborate version was given by Gottfried Leibniz; this is the version that Gödel studied and attempted to clarify with his ontological argument.

While Gödel was religious, he never published his proof because he feared that it would be mistaken as establishing God's existence beyond doubt. Instead, he only saw it as a logical investigation and a clean formulation of Leibniz' argument with all assumptions spelled out. He repeatedly showed the argument to friends around 1970; it was published in 1987, nine years after his death. An outline of the proof follows
