i sometimes get a music file and a cue file which should divide the file to tracks but i dont know how to do it and i dont want to burn the cd

bin/cue could do anything from mounting to using a iso program.

it's meant that you use the .cue to burn the CD
but i don't know anyone who really does
so there's two options
1. get a plugin for your music player that reads .cue data (google for it.. there's several for winamp)
2. split the file into seperate tracks by the .cue file
this is a lossless procedure and takes only a minute or so

supports .mp3 and .ogg
if it's a lossless format, you should need to convert it first to your desired format and bitrate (i personally prefer vbr .ogg for optimal results)
i don't know of any software capable of splitting lossless audio
i guess you could convert it to .wav, split it and convert it back (being lossless)
