meh... they want money.
I will get it on torrents when it will be out.

Though on the game itself - I can't see any real dramatic difference between this one and 2004, it seems like again Microsoft have done a cheap job, and havn't changed a bit but a few textures and added a few useless features like in the last game... though i hope i'm wrong.

But being honest... what can they really add? the only thing they can add is maybe a much better graphics and maybe for one time some decent resoloution textures, but it will take them loads of time, and you know microsoft.
On the other hand i think that if they made a whole different game using this engine as a modern flight combat game, it would have been successful. (havn't seen one modern flight combat game for years)

the flight simulator series has a great and realistic gameplay, but I just can't like those textures, there's something about flight simulator GFX that makes me hate it.

The Flightsim series is one of the sims (games) i have used most hours playing with.
Theres loads of room for improvement in the series besides textures....For example better AI, better ATC, physics, realism, clouds, wind, ++++

This is not a game, it's a simulator. so all you combat gamers might not like to fly from london to paris in real time, thats okay, but just remember this is mainly a simulator and not a game with explosions, fires and decapitated people.

Pilots from all of the world uses the Flightsimulator series in their free time to fly around.
I guess you have to be interested in aircrafts and piloting to appreciate these sims. I'm one of them.
Take it for what it is, and if you don't like the idea of freeflight then i suggest you go play "Top Gun" or that new XBOX360 game where you fly jets and blow up stuff to hell and beyond.

Bring on FSX!
