a
f**kin
waste

its 1cd with mp3 audio apparently... jeez what a pain, now i have to go look for an internal or wait for the dvd to show up and do it myself... seriously, can someone please tell me what the thinking was, in making a single cd mp3 rip of a 125 minute highly anticipated film?

internal 2 cd ac3 version is out... preferable to diamonds shoddy effort, id suggest grabbing the internal... i think diamond accidentally left their noob autoripper software on 1cd rip, and then tried to cover it up by writing in their nfo that it couldn't be put onto 2cd, unless it was undersized... what bs Very Happy hope diamond dont get their hands on any of the major upcoming releases first, lol.

Just an internal rls 4 u guys (dont bother to check pre) using the tdx standards.

Enjoy!

Notes

What was DiAMOND thinking doing a 2h flick with a video bitrate of 607 kb/s
thats just plain wrong.
And if they used the source dvd wich has a bitrate @ 4000kbps they still culd have done
a 2 cd ac3 rls.

but yeah here you go i refuse to watch a rip @ 607kbps thats goes agianst all standards
(there is no rule on how low video bitrate can be) but hey thats just me..

oh and another thing the retail dvd according to rottentomatoes had an ar of 2.40 this rip has a aspect error of 0.1%
not like diamond using an ar of 2.35:1 sure 5% of is allowed but agian hey thats just me ..

ps: subs was a bitch to sync so fuckem!

CuriousJotos had reencoded menu that causes
freezing on standalones, and nonworking menu
for some

we could rls a ifo patch, but to be honest, "reencoded menu"
and stripped IFOs, and a made up bitrate from a calculater
looks more like a one click program

so we propered. enjoy. for those who say "yea but one-click is
ok". one click is ok for your personal archive or maybe for classics
but not for pre. pre is a race that should be fair for all based on
rules we all agreed on. without following those rules, you are just
savages. we and another group could have one clicked this rls as well
and had this out way early, but thats not fun. stop ruining the scene
with going for fame. the rules and the scene were here before you
were scooped up from the newsgroups. please leave if you dont like
it. To the jotos out there, everyone gets caught not using CCE, even
us. so dont get mad, get better. we hope to see on the battlefield
again. we hope you arent a puppet grp just testing your src with a
clever name. it would be nice to see more good rlses from people who
have the src to do so

p.s. this rls only came with eng subs. check amazon if you jest
enjoy.

Notes.......: With all respect to DiAMOND for there good work "usualy"
and of couse for being first with the release. we decided
to proper there release. Not cause of some shit reasons,
but due to the fact that there release dosn`t follow scene
rules. For those of you that aren`t aware of the problem
with there release.. It`s simply due to the release being 1cd
shorter than what it should have been. Movie is 127 mins long,
so that makes it 2 cds according to scene rules.. We aren`t
teachers and we`re sure DiAMOND is aware of this already,
but since they didn`t fix there "fuckup" we present a legit
release as it should have been. Enjoy it..

mmmmm.... you guys are jotos. Our release was encoded using CCE 6 passes, we dont use
1clicks, stop doing unneeded propers and go ahead and win a fair race. Also, menu enconding
is not against any rules, considering it was a fucking big menu (614mb) ... did u actually
keep it untouched? Your .nfo was full of crap (with no proof of course) and your release has
lower bitrate than ours. Our release is 4.37gb and yours is 4.32gb. Do i need to say more?
Next time pls do so more research instead of saying its a 1 click copy, not because we are
a new group, we dont deserve respect.
Btw, our release was tested on standalones from the following companies: Phillps, Magonvox,
JVC, KLH, Digix, Apex, XBOX360 and regular XBOX, and it worked perfect.

Cya Jotos!

Wow, the TFF proper is really lame Laughing

Similar case to "Charlie.And.The.Chocolate.Factory.WS.DVDRip.XviD-DiAMOND" where DEiTY attempted to proper but got nuked, it's not possible to proper with that reason.

Code:

│   - FILM (23.976 fps) = MINIMUM runtime is 105 minutes/CD.                  │
│   - NTSC (29.97 fps) = MINIMUM runtime is 87 minutes/CD.                    │

Shout! Factory just released an excellent Collector's Edition Blu-ray.
Unfortunately, the plethora of deleted scenes are still nowhere to be found, but it includes 4 brand new interviews from cast and crew, and 1 new commentary, looking back at the time they made the film.

https://www.shoutfactory.com/product/silent-hill-collector-s-edition?product_id=7102

Quote:
Bonus Features

Disc One:

HD Master Approved By Director Christophe Gans
NEW Audio Commentary With Cinematographer Dan Laustsen
Theatrical Trailer

Disc Two:

NEW Interview With Director Christophe Gans
NEW A Tale Of Two Jodelles – An Interview With Actress Jodelle Ferland
NEW Dance Of The Pyramid – An Interview With Actor Roberto Campanella
NEW Interview With Makeup-Effects Artist Paul Jones
Path Of Darkness: The Making of Silent Hill – A Six-Part Documentary
The Making Of Silent Hill Vintage Featurette
On Set Interviews And Behind-The-Scenes Footage
Photo Galleries – Still Photos And Posters

I'm just glad the film is being remembered fondly by some, to receive this kind of attention.

To this day, I consider it the best video game adaptation and just a good film overall. It takes the source material seriously, it takes itself seriously, has some great performances, and it just looks great, because they filmed a lot of its effects practically.

It's a shame audiences, even video game audiences, turned their backs to it and we didn't get a (proper) continuation.

I also liked the movie a lot. The sequel sucked though.
Sean Bean, Alice Krige, Radha Mitchell, Jodelle Ferland etc. all did a really good job. The atmosphere in the movie was really nicely done. I think a lot of people (gamers) didn't like it because some of the plot was changed to fit the movie. Just a guess though. I've seen comments about it being too long and drawn out but for some reason I still remember it fondly.

ps. it's not released yet, it's listed for release July 9.

Oh, saw this on www.dvdcompare.com:

Quote:

Notes:
Features an HD master approved by director Christophe Gans.
Comes with a slipcase and a reversible cover.
If ordered on the Shout! Factory website, you'll receive a free 18" X 24" rolled poster while supplies last.

Will be interesting to watch that version, it's been years since I last watched it. A new HD master approved by the director should look good.

It's not "new" per se. It's the same master as the French Blu-ray released 10 years ago. The French master has been brightened and contrast-boosted, so it's not authentic to how the film looked at the theater, but you can appreciate more the scenery, so pretty much everyone prefers it, including the director who supervised it. The original was just murky.

Here is a comparison of the original release vs the French remaster: https://www.landofwhimsy.com/archives/2011/04/silent-hill-quickie-comparison/
