Mit Brigade E5: New Jagged Union erscheint ein Mix aus rundenbasierter und
Echtzeit-Strategie, der u.a. von Shaun Lyng stammt, welcher an der
Entwicklung der Jagged Alliance-Serie beteiligt war. Selbst wird man in
einen kleinen Tropenstaat namens Palinero katapultiert. Eigentlich ist dies
ein schoenes Land, leider aber liegt Palinero im Randgebiet eines
Buergerkriegs. Der Spieler uebernimmt die Rolle einer von drei Parteien,
heuert Soeldner an und begibt sich in den Kampf. Alternativ entscheidet man
sich fuer keine beider Seiten und versucht, anderweitig von der Situation
zu profitieren.
Dank des so genannten "Smart Pause Mode" steuert man die bis zu 50 Soeldner
erst rundenbasiert, um spaeter in bester Echtzeit-Strategie-Manier direkt
gegen die Gegner anzutreten. Insgesamt wird man ueber 40 verschiedene Orte
besuchen und auf mehr als 100 NPCs treffen. Das Spielgeschehen selbst ist
nicht linear und die Ausruestungen der eigenen Soldaten laesst kaum
Wuensche uebrig: ueber 1000 Modifikationen und umfangreiches Equipment
warten auf eine Verwendung.
Da unterschiedliche Einsaetze verschiedene Waffen erfordern, wird es in
Brigade E5: New Jagged Union ueber 80 Waffenarten geben. Diese sind in fuenf
Gattungen (Pistolen, Grosskaliber, Scharfschuetzengewehren, Flinten,
Maschinengewehr) aufgeteilt, haben alle ihre Vor- und Nachteile und
unterscheiden sich in zehn grundlegenden Charakteristika - beispielsweise
bei der Genauigkeit, der Durchschlagskraft, im Gewicht oder den
Feuerintervallen.
Munitionstypen und Zusatzmodule offenbaren ebenso Staerken und Schwaechen
und Gadgets wie Schalldaempfer, Zielfernrohr, Nachtsichtgeraet,
Laserpointer, Bajonett funktionieren bei verschiedenen Waffen teilweise gar
nicht oder sehr unterschiedlich. Wer nicht (nur) auf Schusswaffen steht,
darf ausserdem Granaten, Granaten-Werfer, Minen oder auch Spanndraehte zum
Einsatz bringen.
Selbstverstaendlich wird Brigade E5: New Jagged Union neben dem
Singleplayer-Part einen Mehrspielermodus via LAN und Internet besitzen.
An DeathMatch-, Assault- oder GoldenTurtle-Matches wird man sich versuchen
duerfen.

Its not meant to be like Jagged Alliance, its close but it has a really nifty combat system (real-time with pauses and crap).
Worth checking out if you are into these types of games. I heard the developers are working on a new version of the game, for the English speaking market, with better graphics.

Dammit got my hopes up for an early english release. Been wanting to try it out, seems like they butchered the TBS system alot less than other tbs/rt hybrid games that had absolutely no strategy to em whatsoever. Anyways if any german speakers wanna give this a try and report back with reviews itd be cool.
Oh and those screenshots posted are horrible. I played the demo and it didnt look that bad so maybe thats from an early build or something. Those half-formed faces are stuff nightmares are made of.

SiLENTGATE was a standalone grp in Germany since they joined RELOADED. Now its the German Division and now they crack german and Multi, English games.

LOL!!! This game has cracked in Jan 06 by man who has nick Valdemar (Ukraine, Lviv) and he is active member of RELOADED. This game was released in Russia and Ukraine in Oct 05. And this crack is adaptation for new version of StarShit. Super, Vivat RELOADED - Shit Heroes..... RELOADED can't create any cracks without help from Poland, Russia, Ukraine;)
