Awesome. I've read about superstring theory before, but this was explained extremely clearly.

the first 4 were ok, but the bend and the twist weren't true reprensations because if you put a twist in a 2D object that too then becomes 3D becuase you're adding some form of depth to it.

The bits about infinity were stupid too. As were the 'jump back in time but thats the long way around so it's easier to go forward in time'

Ok, that example wasn't to show you how how a 2D object can have 3D properties. But to show you how an observer in a particular dimension can be travelling through the dimension above without realising the intricacies of it, they can only observe it as an nth dimensional cross-section. I.E how we travel through time and observe it as a linear event.

I can't be bothered to explain it all to you as that flash makes it as clear as it can be, but I can see you misinterpreted other sections so just don't bother. The theory is sound thats all that matters.

No because if you're travelling on a 2D surface you're only travelling on a line. Whereas if you look up you'll then see the shape of the curve and a 3D object (look at the position of the brush when its in the inside of the paper).

Again a spear can be thought of the same. That can be a 1D object to those on the surface but it's ultimately a 3D object.

The theory clearly isn't sound and you just take what they're saying to be plausible without thinking yourself.

Also don't get me started on the infinity. and then the more infinities. In reality it is infinity times infinity which is just infinity. A clear example of this would be to say you can have 1.1111
1.1121111
1.1131111
1.1131111311111121111111111

etc. Just because 'infinity' appears in one 'universe' doesn't mean that all of the options have been exhausted.

Anyway apart from a nice functioning site and some smooth drawings it was ultimately worthless. Paper mario showed you how a 2D object functions in a 3D universe.

You take things so literally sublime; it's a metaphysical example of how observation and point of reference can distort perception.

It's to allow people to imagine how you can wrongly perceive movement through a dimension as being linear.

It's got nothing to do with a little guy running along a curved piece of paper who has the ability to 'look up' and see the curve. What if he could only look down at the path in front, does that work for you then? Laughing

You don't get it, that's fine. But stop pretending like you have any idea what you're talking about, you do this alot. I could imagine you going into a quantum physics lecture and then trying to correct the professor, making yourself look like an idiot in the process.

These multiple dimensions are a fundamental aspect of all supersymmetric string theory and are based on advanced quantum mechanics and general relativity observations. These theories were created through the collaboration of hundreds of physicists whose knowledge and intellect are far superior to our own. They didn't just pull this out of their ass.

The sooner you realise you don't know everything the better. Because at the moment your purile rebuttals just make you look like an arrogent little shit who knows nothing about everything. You'll probably just whine on about how you're still right so i'm done with this thread. When you pull your head out your ass, let me know.

My head is out of my arse and you clearly can't admit that you can't think for yourself. Like I said the 4th dimension is believed to be time but its not proven its just a theory. To make the fifth dimension a twist because you can turn a 2D shape into a 3D one with a twist doesn't cut the mustard.

Bearing in mind it doesnt work for every shape whereas there are constants for all of the other dimensions.

And as for looking down, I said he'll still only percieve it to be 2D but if you take a proper look i.e. all around you'll see it's not 2D. It's like saying look at the surface of a table face on. It's 2D until you come to an edge or a corner when it becomes 3D Rolling Eyes

Does this mean your eyes are moving from the 2nd dimension to the third? of course not.

Just because 100s of quantum physics guys all believe the same theoriy doesn't make it fact. Many people have been wrong many times and i'm 100% sure i'm not the only one who would disagree with these theories either. I bet I too could get a hundred quantum physics guys to lay down their different theory and prove it wrong with their own conclusions.

And I believe the thing about the infinity universe etc. is bullshit too really. When you actually think about it 'logically' there isn't an infinite number of things in the universe. It's just a number that can't be defined by us but it does exist.

There are an infinite number if possibilites as a result of something but eventually it'll come to an end and the cycle will reset.

And I don't claim to know everything, I just know that what these guys are saying is to be taken with a pinch of salt and I don't care about either. It's you who thinks they know everything and try to back things up but you'll find I haven't lost one 'argument' on here.

If you want to believe all of that then do. But all i'm saying is take a step back and find a flaw in the argument. You'll find that that's what (most) intelligent people (i.e. me and not you) do.

My flaws are:
The 2D into a 3D shape via a twist from the 5th dimension isn't true
Infinity isn't true because there aren't an infinite number of things in the universe

Prove me wrong.
