I get trown back out to desktop when i
1: Try to throw a knife
2: Play about 5-20 minutes.
I just got these problems and i cant figure out why.... the most anoying thing is that my savefiles for the level im on gets deleted so i have to start over again. Im on the level with the christmas party. Other then that it worked fine until now. Did not help to patch it...

and even that asr fiddle gets reduced to a single icon click with curerom (mounts mini-image, applies blacklisting countermeasures and launches game)

heh... i found a way to fix that... Had cpu problems (thought it was Video or CPU overheating until i discovered it was my power supply) playing this game, where my cpu rebooted. So when i restarted the game, my saves were gone!!! DAMN. Here's what you can do.
in your documents, find the folder looking like this [ D:\mydocs\Hitman Blood Money\Profiles\Pete ] . This is where your savegames are saved. Now when you play, ALT-TAB to desktop and copy all files starting with SaveGame# to another folder. If your game crashes again, START THE GAME NORMALLY, start the same level, then SAVE the same amount of time you had saved. Once you have saved, ATL-TAB to desktop then copy back the savegames to your hitman folder. Go back in the game, and load your game. Note that when you restart the game, its better if you have the same gun / stuff configuration, cause i think i was having bugs.
kinda hard to understand (and explain) but worth it instead of redoing the same mission 100x times.

Woah! Finnally had a time for this game and I've just finnished it. Definitely the best Hitman game so far (I havent' tested Contracts yet). I've played it on expert difficulty and in some cases AI was damn annoying but ultra vision, bulletproof heads etc.
Requiem was nice addition but fuckin frustrating.
Such a shame that the upcoming Hitman will probably be anything but a Hitman game. :/

It's a shame that Contracts isn't included in these deals, the game had some of my favorite missions ever (Meat King's Party, The Beldingford Manor etc.), too bad the AI was indeed affected by hysteria . But other that that it was absolutely great

Looking back, it's amazing how the games got better over four iterations. Most stealth game developers make mistakes in sequels (Splinter Cell 2, Thief 3, Deus Ex 2,....) but IO interactive really seemed to understand their game and their audience.

It's probably because Blood Money didn't sell well on consoles, while crap like Conviction sold 2+m copies and counting.
The old audience wasn't enough, they needed to make it broader, therefore all the retarded gameplay streamlinization and stuff to make it accessible to everyone, including our typical derps with attention span approaching zero.
It happens all the time with other franchises as well, someone still manages to make excellent "modernized" games, others (the majority out there) just ruin everything, and Abortion seems to be the case, sadly :/ |
