That could work. I guess they could really just have an in depth manual. it's an FPS after all, those games usually come natural.

someone mentioned QW to have maps made for 24 players but you can have more...
Well... AFAIK, QW caps at 32 players and thus cannot even compete with the 64 player limit of BF2 (which IMHO is not enough).
What I'd really want would be a PlanetSide 2. Gotta love 1000 players + fighting over the same ground...

No, they've said that 24-32 is the "sweet spot" and that servers can have as many slots as they can support (i.e. a monster of a server is more than capable of supporting 64 or more)...
And if you've ever played W:ET (which I doubt from how you think number of players trumps gameplay) you'd know that it'll be very playable at even 4v4...

Well at least you wont have to run 2 miles to encounter the enemy.
The thing is Quake Wars will be able to create great atmosphere and high tension with even the smallest amount of players.

True. Being in the middle of the shit is always a good thing in such games, the only thing that worries me is that there might not be that many flowing battles, with the front lines moving backwards and forwards, something similar to what you can see in BF2 on some maps.

Did they not say in that video that once an area has been taken, you cannot get it back?

I like the idea, that way you feel the map is progressing in a certain direction - not just lame points as in BF2. I have also heard that one map will inflict the next?

There's frontlines in bf2!?!

*sigh*
Maybe if you'd taken the time to even spec some matches in wolfenstein: enemy territory (which is a FREE download) you'd understand just how and why this is.
