LEGEND OF THE PS2 ON PC IN UPCOMING 22-SEP-2006
Quote: | LMA Manager’s pioneering use of a 3D match has become a defining game element for the series’ legions of players. Now, the game’s enhanced visual engine will make full use of next-generation rendering systems, adding normal mapping, parallax mapping, and realistic lighting effects for even more detail that really brings match day home. The Xbox 360 edition of the game also plays out in glorious widescreen, giving you an even better view of the action.
Seeing your team play out your tactics in detail enables you to make instant decisions based on their play at that very moment, rather than continually referencing a page of stats or blobs floating around a screen.
Plus, the matches are run in real-time, meaning results aren't fixed before the whistle blows; it's about how you react as the game unfolds that can make or break the result. Do you sit back and try to defend a one-nil lead, or do you go all out for the second goal, but risk being hit on the counter-attack? These are the decisions that, for a manager, can make the difference between winning the league and getting the sack.
LMA Manager 2007 looks the business. LMA Manager 2007’s visuals take football management way beyond monitoring a spreadsheet to really deliver a graphically rich and immersive football management experience.
Action your decisions immediately with the brilliantly intuitive and user-friendly interface, where every piece of information is no more than a couple of button-presses away.
The most extensive world of football management. On PC and Xbox 360, LMA’s football world will expand to include teams from over 50 countries from all major continents.
More information – faster than ever: With more data available than ever before, you want it delivered at speed. The Xbox 360 and PC versions see multi-threading implemented to keep the game moving at pace.
More detail – instantly: On Xbox 360, the game’s information sections will support HDTV and 720p and the 3D match section in glorious widescreen. The PC edition sees more information and detail available on a single screen.
Football One – your window on the football world is clearer than ever. Watch 3D highlights of your team’s performance and, for the first time, see the best of every match played in your current division.
Know your history with more data from previous seasons played. On Xbox 360 and PC you can store reports of all past matches – the histories will be maintained for up to 20 seasons

With FM2007 coming out relatively soon I can't see this having any significant impact.

Agree with fissesvin, Fifa Manager 07 is the game to wait for, Great improvements in Fifa Manager 06 and more this year. Football Managers outdated text and little insect-people shooting the ball highlights game made me change over to Fifa Manager after have playing Football Manager for many years. 3D games in Fifa Manager 06 is excellent and so much more enjoyable than those text-insect highlights...
And yes i know Football Manager 2007 database is better and bigger but that´s all they have to impress and it´s just not enough anymore...

You're right the database is bigger and better, but if you think that is the reason people play it then you are mistaken. It has everything to do with the depth and nuance of the game itself. You know, the gameplay, the most important aspect of any game.
As much as I love the FIFA managers fancy interface and its general gloss, the 3D engine is utterly woeful at adequately portraying a real football match (in fact it's worse than actually playing FIFA itself in that respect). Hence the reason FM2007 will continue with 2D until such a time 3D can do the games underbelly of coding justice - there is just no way for that kind of realism yet and the 2D is necessary for those of us demanding realism.
For FIFA it's not a problem, the people who play it don't play for depth or realism, they play for the gloss and the immediacy and the enjoyment they get from it. Which is fair enough. I enjoyed a quick play of the last FIFA. But I deleted it and moved on very quickly. I always have FM installed however. Always. And that is the difference and it's an important one when you make stupid comparisons.

Hope it will come soon! Newsflash on the Page from 3rd September says:
We're proud to announce the soon-to-be-released next version of Daemon-Tools.
Within the next days/week(s), we will release a new standard-version of Daemon-
Tools, which contains alot of changes not only in internal DT-design but
also in the ScsiPassThrough-driver (SPTD).
Already 20 days but still no DT 4.0.4. |

Besides I'm usually a reader more than a poster in these forums so having followed your posting in other threads I'm not supprised of a ignorent post from you.

its an urban legend in terms of it havign any affect on SF. and anyway too little too late. SF is basically dead, and it only ends up on crappy games like this one.

well that is true....I would call SF dead aswell, but I don't find DT pro dealing with it useless.....it just steps the SF devs even more in the face. Which I obviously odn't mind.

Release does not work for me! Starforce 4 Clone of Flatout 2 by Unleashed worked! I think it is a bad Image by CRIME.
