so dont watch it then. i definately wont be wasting my time on this movie that was artificially boosted up so that the americans can feel good about themselves... noone is ever going to do an honest 911 movie, so im not interested in any of them.

This was one of the best movies ive seen in a long time. You knew what was going to happen, but still you was hoping for another ending.
I don't know how 9/11 really happend, and who really was behind it, or whos fault it was.
Still, this was one good movie. I can never know how it was to be on that plane, but maybe this movie gave me a small small glimpse of that hell those people must have gone trough.
10/10
Sig too big.

This is actually not a USA, flag-waving, patriotic, Ramboified movie.
This is probably a rather honest look at what probaby went on in both air and on land.
If you like the style of the movie then check out another fine "documovie" that director Paul Greengrass has made.
"Sunday bloody sunday."

americans dont do honest when it comes to discussing something that very negatively impacted themselves.
ill admit i somehow doubt it has kurt russel creeping through the the top of the plane, and it probably doesn't have arnie storming out with an uzi to take on the terrorists, but i know it'll be done in a way so that all the americans look like awesome heros and the terrorists look like weak willed incompetant morons (ok, so the second part does seem to be somewhat realistic, seeing as they failed..)

Well, I you don't feel like watching it then by all means don't.. But I think that a lot of people who have preconcieved notions about how this movie is will be surprised. If you are at least a little bit interested in movies then give it a go because it is a very well made film.

How can you know that if you have not seen it? Actually in this case the people aboard probably are heroes although the movie does not really play it way. It just tells the story about people who had no option but to try and do something to survive, even the heroic line: "let's roll" which is in fact a line that was uttered before they went into action is really downplayed, it is barely a whisper. Not at all a Kurt Russel shouting gung ho line.

they arent heroes, they knew they were going to die, they did what any one of us (you, me, anyone else in this thread who wasn't a coward) would have done in the same situation. no doubt youll say being faced with death is a completely different experience that i wont understand, but meh... being part of a mob, going after a group of people who are about to kill you... not a difficult choice... and good on them for doing it, but no they arent heroes. but because of what i said before, i have no doubt that heroes is how they are portrayed in this feel-good 'rah rah go america we rule!' film. i take it your american, so this isn't an attack on you, but i understand why you would always completely disagree with anything i say.

Actually I am european, I just find it wrong that you dismiss something that you know nothing about. If you watched the movie and then had an opinion I would not object but as it is now you haven't even watched it.
I have been trying to tell you that this is not an american 'rah rah go america we rule!' movie at all and that it might surprise you. I have seen the film and still you just refuse to believe me?
It is surprisingly critical of how the whole event was handled by military and flight control people. How nobody was prepared and what a big fuckup the whole thing was. The other planes did infact as we all know hit their targets and that to me is a big fuck you to the supreme military force that the US sets out be. There were fucked on their own soil and this movie does not try to turn that fact around.

This is interesting because they are portrayed exactly they way you don't think.... They are portrayed as normal people who had no choice....
If you actually watched the movie you would know all these things.
See the movie and then tell me your opinion. that would be very interesting.
I just had a thought... You are not confusing this movie with the utter shit movie called "Flight 93" which was made for tv and is all those things that you mention?
