I know it's been talked about here and there, however, I'm having these great indecision regarding the subject. So, what do you think - is it worth it to hack the 360, what's the risks and the most important - what is the worst case scenario? P.S I live in Israel so every game is around 80$. heavy. Thanks. Goof stuff: Download games, burn. play Kinda easy to do, first time can require a little thinking and may take a while, after that its a breeze. Burned games work on live (for the moment atleast) Bad stuff: As soon as MS releases an update that detects it a lot of people will be banned from live. Dual-Layer discs required Not all burners seem capable of burning working backups (also very depending on the reader in the 360). DL Discs cost a bit... Still a lot cheaper then getting the game in a shop. Ok, more things in bad stuff part but IMHO its worth it. Atleast for the moment, I have no idea how it will be with live later on and so...

Would MS only be able to detect backups played online which would mean I could play my originals on XBL or do you think it would detect the flashed firmware in the console which means playing no game would be safe on XBL? I guess no one really knows the answer to that but it was something I was wondering. May the NFOrce be with you always.

we don't know yet what microsoft will be patching to fix it... but if its anything like the old xbox then you get banned once if your caught using a backup even if you do use originals they won't work either after you get banned.

MS will probably detect the firmware. With the latest patches to the FW it seem to be harder to detect if you are using a backup or original so some detection of the FW is more likely to happen I suspect. And banned from live means no more updates from live plus no MP.
