I found out how to keep playing forever even if you fail your mission. This includes going out of boundaries, so you can explore the whole damn map. This is a pain to explain well.. I hope I don't confuse the hell out of everyone.

1. Get ArtMoney if you don't have it. You'll need it and it's worth having for messing with any program, even browser-based stuff. Basically it finds the stuff you want in your memory, and lets you change it. The possibilities are endless. It's free. Open ArtMoney, then fire up Just Cause and start a new game. Alt-Tab out of it once you're past the boring intro and everything.

2. Select "Just Cause" in the dropdown box that says "select process". This is not rocket science. Rocket science probably isn't that hard anyway.

3. This isn't hard either but this is where the complete newbies may get confused so pay attention. Click "Search". Search for "gameover" , all in lowercase. Move every value over by clicking the green arrow. These values will be in the other listbox to the right now. Select them all, right click, click "set value" , and set the value to anything other than "gameover" with the same amount of characters. For example, I changed them all to the word "cocksoup".

The game-over text will still appear when you fail your mission and your HUD will disappear, but the game will keep going on without exiting to the menu.
Now you should have complete freedom in the demo.

I'm aware that this is potentially very confusing to figure out just from my directions. If you want, I'll make a screenshot tutorial.

This is legal. We're not talking about bypassing any security or anything of that sort, all this does is changes the name of the gameover function to gibberish in your computer memory, so when the game says it's game over.. it can't find the function that tells it to end the game.

* Issues:
The lack of a HUD & Crosshair makes it very difficult to play.

The game will crash if you go too far out of the boundaries (where things start to look really glitchy).

found this, it actually works, I though maybe someone would be interested.

is there anything worth exploring outside of the mission boundaries like the cities you will find in the full release? (probably not but it's free to ask ^^ )

Whoa Just Cause is fucking awesome!! Plays awesome, looks awesome! I still would like to use an analog controller for the driving and flying and the stunts but now after finishing the demo I think it will also be possible to enjoy it with mouse+keyboard if they tweak the car steering and give us the option to change the controls.

Fucking awesome!!! lol

Deceptikons! Deceptikons! Deceptikons! Deceptikons!

As for just cause i tried the PC demo. I really enjoyed it i agree the driving sucks but certain vehicles are much better/easier to control then others. For instance, the cop jeep thing (the enclosed one) totally worthless. However, the crappy little minicooper looking thing is really easy same with the jeeps that are not enclosed.

I am really looking forward to this one.

A better way is to open the .arc with a hex editor then change all the gameover to whatever you want, no alt-tab needed, much more convinient

I had a similar opinion until I played the 360 version. It really is almost like a different game.

Yes I know he did say that, but it makes me wonder what makes the 360 version so much better? I can't imagine any other big differences than the controls.
