So, transport giant has been out for some days now, and if you ask me it SUCKS Sad When I saw 2 trains driving through each other on 1 track i uninstalled it permanently.

Locomotion is announced to be out September this year. Check the screenshots:

What do you think ? I want it NOW =)

Frankly, I think it looks ugly. The gfx is REALLY outdated, Transport giant is a lot better in this aspect. It looks like a Tycoon remake.
But I can't really judge it until it out.

Cool just saw a concorde aircraft at a screenshot. Serious, it could be fun for a day or two. The graphics are also similar to Transport giant.

All games arent about jaw-dropping graphics, its the gameplay that counts. I liked RCT alot, might give this one a try too Smile

I dont think they were ever exciting...

Would have been nice to see better graphics, but I'm sure it will at least live up to TTD.

And I think TTD's engine was close-to-perfection in many ways, so the little graphics make-up is the only major thing i'd apply to this game. And that's why Locomotion perfectly meets my requirements Wink

Locomotion will be excellent!

Also, for those of you that loved Transport Tycoon Deluxe, I highly recommend you try the TDDPatch. It adds so much stuff to the original it isn't even funny.

http://www.ttdpatch.net/

But Locomotion will be a sequel to TDD, and I have total faith that Chris Sawyer will pull it off.

Btw, Transport Giant is a total PILE OF SHIT. Avoid this game at all costs. It's another JoWood flop. Those guys couldn't release a non-buggy game to save their lives.

LOL

Transport Tycoon OWNED. the gameplay was fantastic. Locomotion = Transport Tycoon 2. Its cos of Transport Tycoon all other moronic dev. houses started to make those lame tycoon games. Sorry but there can only be one real tycoon game. Transport Tycoon.

I guess lots of ppl here are too young to know Transport Tycoon otherwise there reactions would have been abit more positive i bet.

Locomotion here i come! (when its out offcourse!)

btw, i agree transport giant sucks balls. Jowood pls shut down.

Well transport tycoon was great... superb

and this game is well exactly the same I guess... I've just played the demo and I don't know if they have improved anything, the graphics is the same, kinda dissapointing, I don't need a crazy 3d engine or anything to be pleased just a feeling that the game isn't done in 256 colors... because that's the feeling you get now.
But the gameplay seems to be as great as the old tc so I'm gonna download this game for sure... but still, they could have just upped the gfx a bit.

this game is superb! graphics are better, much better, compared to TTD Smile
now you can even rotate the map 360, which is a nice feature...
but I find it a bit hard, in the beginning, to build roads & rails. they removed the good old way to do it (draging with the mouse).
one thing I didn't like (hope it's a bug): when you zoome out once, you can't see any vehicles on the map. they just dissapear...
