If i see a release that says (pre-patched) does that mean it will work on a legit unmodifiied machine?

No I dont think so. Someone correct me if I am wrong or agree if Im right but pre-patched means the security sectors have been bypassed but you still need a flashed firmware dvd rom so no it wont work on a legit unmodified machine.

Prepatched is simply an ISO with SS already patched into it. You still need modified firmware.

And the security sectors is just a patch to bypass the anti piracy protection a bit like a crack?
