I did not notice any performance hit when cranking up the shadow texture to 2048, loading time is the same too

WTF with loading times? It takes like...forever to load the small chunk of the level / 5 mins of gameplay. Loading times are 5-10 times longer than in Oblivion

You can extract them with Winrar or anything which might suit you. Pak-files are nothing but archives with no compression. This is nothing new, it has been like that since Quake

And how da hell Gracard affects loading times? Maybe i should also upgrade my mouse? And 2 GB of Ram here, how much more do i need to load 5 mins of gameplay faster?

I cannot believe how good this games is!! I am having a ton of fun with this game. I just started watching Deadwood too! Enhances the whole feel. Anyway, I am stuck however.... I am on Episode 7 right after you get the horse and jump over the chasm. I just got off my horse and I am using my whip to get across the cliff face and ledges. The first branch is easy and I swing across and release with no problems. The second branch is were I am stuck. I can whip it and my whip connects to the branch but I cannot get up to the ledge. What do I do to get up to that ledge while using my whip?
TIA!
MD

It's also takes long to load here. How much RAM do you have? I currently have 1 gb of ram, and an overclocked 6800 GT

Enjoy it as long as it's good. The first season was great but the second season was just poor, stupid and boring! (I hope season three is MUCH better.)

I really really enjoyed this game. Great graphics, nice fresh theme. Just a bit linear. I will keep it (with oblivion) for a year or so and re-play it at a decent frame rate with a newer card in the future.
The bow & arrow pwns.
@matisto21 you have to go round the back of the buildings and stuff.

I did half-way enjoy this game. Great graphics and sound, I loved the character design/look and the story. However, the gameplay was really bad. I found it to be way too linear, most of the game takes place outside and it is a bitch to have to go from point A to B the way the developers decided. Also, when going from point A to B to C, then having to backtrack back to B, multiple enemies would have spawned back in a total unrealistic fashion. Silly as hell.
Not to mention the last map was idiotic as hell, having to fight through 200 enemies on a single level. Sorry, the "final boss syndrome" just ruined it totally for me. But I can't help to think how much better the game would have been if it wasn't so damn linear and that they reworked the final map.

This is a sideeffect of the decision to make the game linear deelix. With the way the maps are designed, and so much heavy scripting, the developers did not need to make an advanced AI anyway.

F.E.A.R was just as linear but did have good A.I. so that's not an excuse IMO.

I can't think of any case where Reloaded has done anything as sloppy as that?
