the problem is,you can´t hide when lightning strikes,because everything is lightening up!
the best thing is to find cover somewhere else,or to find another route...this worked for me and i had several of those situations!
it gets frustrating sometimes!

are you sure? well i dont think so because what ever i do they kan see me! I tried standing behind the rock, no one was able to see me yet he still says wait and the guys in the area before (at the fireplace) even know im there! I tried to hide down where there's a dead man, yet he still stops and everybody starts shooting me. Also when trying different secuROM loaders he stops talking at different times. This is really annoying, but if it is as you say, could you tell me the exact method you used to get by them? anyone?

i think this situation is scripted,so this 1 guy will allways go back into this tunnel!
i was going straight to the dead guy,and the 1 guy said "wait a minute!" and he came into the tunnel...and i thought..CRAP...no place to hide,so i sat still in the shadows and he was walking by!
maybe its some sort uf luck,where you are when lightning strikes...if you are behind him,everything is fine...but if you are in front of him....
i play this game the second time now and i´m at this episode again...so let´s see what will happen this time!

I tried staying down there a million times, but no matter what they see me, even the guys way back gets alerted and just starts shooting. It's really fucked up, i think i tried 20 different ways and nothing seem to help!

Ok just tried again, and when the guy starts walking, out of nowhere it says failure, no one even shoots at me, and im 100% sure that they didnt spot me!

Okay it was just me being a dumbass, i got by going to the left of the two men, but i do think it was badly scripted since i couldnt hide at the dead guy.. now another thing i cant turn on field of dept or what ever it is? but i do believe it was turned on first time i played.
P4 3ghz, 1 gig ram, x800xl

anyone with x800 card who can use "dept of field", im pretty sure i started out having the option to turn it on and off. it was on in the first mission, im pretty sure cuz everyting in the distance was blurry, i later realized it wasnt on anymore but now i dont have the option to turn it on again. Anyone know if theres a way to force it back on? or is it all in my head and never supported by the x800 cards?

And about the Depth of Field option, you should make sure that you set the shader quality to SM 3.0 otherwise you can't enable DoF.
