One thing I don't understand about Australia is that the highest agelimit they can have on games is 15+
Why can't they raise it?

I know. think its 17 to have sex in most states, so guess thats one of the reasons. Its also kinda fucked up that you can have sex at 16 or 17 legally but not watch before you are 18\21.
Stupid america. And yes you can't drink before you are 21, but you can drive a car when you're 16.

how many times did you get sick when watching a gory movie? that's about as realistic it can get before turning real, and don't get sick from it because we know it's fake. So yes, bring on the gore in games ^^

Yeah, same shit happened with Oblivion. It's fucking stupid to say the least.
But so is this topic. Asking wether you want games censored or not is a rhetorical question. And it's really nothing new that the US is hyperconservative when it comes to sex.

you cant drive alone until youre 17 and even then you have to wait till youre 18 or 19 or smth to drive after 10pm. and the sex thing heh what if you make your own porn, heh can you watch that? |

In most of europe, (france, netherlands, germany, belgium, italy, luxemboug,...) you can't have a drivers liscence before you're 18. So you can only learn how to drive a couple of months before you are 18 so you can pass the exam and get that liscence the day you turn 18.

Its 14 until they push through the law to raise the age to 16. its technically 12 if the other person is no older than 14. I'm not sure when the age increase is supposed/has gone into effect.
Age of majority depends on province either 18 or 19.

You can start to learn to drive accompanied at 16 in france (accompanied licence) and thus drive the car as far as there is an adult to assist you, and you are a minor until 18.
BTW While i was travelling the USA west coast as a minor, i can't even enter the only bar at miles around (death valley) to have a 'fresh' coca-cola, coz guess what: there were people having beers! They are crazy. I guess that now that bush with his zealots and mafia are on their way to the fourth reich, things will go better... ^^

Huh, you can't?? Could be your state? Because even in Norway we can drive with parents (person over 25) when we are 16. Anyway, my point is WTF, you can own a car, drive but not take a single beer when you are 20. |

you're missing the point
it would be sickening cos it's YOU doing it
like when you're playing an intense game, like say counter strike for a really general example, you can have a really strong adrenaline rush and bite your tongue so it almost bleeds by accident
watching a movie never does that to anyone (or i would like to see a film like that)
or playing hitman4, i take a M4 with an extended barrel clip and go out to the parade crowd and let it sing till the last clip says click
throwing explosives to the crowd and executing helpless civilians one by one with a single bullet to the back of the head
that's a completely different kind of feeling i get from the movies
no film in the world could do that
because it's my choice
oh, btw
i want kids back in games, goddammit
think about it.. when is the last time you saw a kid in a game with any guns?
they were even taken out of some versions of fallout2, cos you could kill them and they left a pretty little mess (thieving bastards! ;)
