By the way, FSX wont be DX10 suppoted on release as I've read, but a patch will add that at a later date after release.

yep, quite right.
also, if FSX demo would have dx10 in it, it wouldn't run on XP but only Vista.
driver architecture of version 10 is completely different from the 9.

even if t will support dx10 on we won't be able to use for a couple of moths so no harm done.

IMO http://www.x-plane.com/ is simply put - Better.
Argue all you want, but x-plane is certified by the FAA for use in training (I was able to get 10 hours worth of flight time just by using x-plane), and is just more realistic.
Any other pilot (besides one being payed by microsoft to support their un-realistic crap) will say the same.

mmm from what I understand MSFS X was enhanced for Dx 10 & they dumbed it down to Dx 9 so they make maximum profit o.O & plus if they wanted people to beta test it they had no choice. Runs my pc to the ground on ultra though.

They havent dumbed it down, they are waiting for DX10 to get out to the market, and then they will release a patch to support DX10.
It's DX9 now as theres no DX10 hardware yet...

sure, they do - that's not the question. the question is, what's the use of it, if noone except them has DX10 hardware?

Uh, so they can develop their nice little dx10 renderer and see it in practice of course.

Check that for side by side comparisons of the real world and the Microsofts simulator. It's pretty damned impressive from a visual perspective in my view. There is also video footage (though I wasn't that interested to check it myself).

When is this going to get released, and btw is it easier to play it with a joystick or is it still hard?

Keyboard will work, but I couldn't do it with a keyboard; So I bought an joystick(top gun afterburner II), and now it's more fun with that piece of hardware. Be cool, you'll need your keyboard enough with setting the auto pilot and so on..
