Ok so it's almost gold...why not release it over steam right away... What's the use of officially downloadable games if not to bypass the long time it takes to print all the CDs/DVDs and ship them everywhere.

well, not a joke, just some guy hacking into gabe newell's account (valve really seems to let their stuff get hacked a lot) and posting some stuff.

Yeah other sources from the HL2Fallout board tell that the SQL passes were available inside the php code itself and thus someone may have used it to change Gabes pass and post that gold post. Looks like it wasn't Gabe's fault but HL2fallout's. It's still not 100% clear but it looks like someone hacked his account. Lets wait and see on monday. Sad if It's true.

Well it has nothing to do with it being Gabe's fault or not. The thing reamins the same, he is not confirming or denying it, just happy with all the speculation and talk it does about HL2. It's like his account password is 1234567 2003 - 2004 valve got hacked 2003 valve delayed because of the hack 2004 valve delays because of a suspected hack... It’s all following a bloody pattern here. They get hacked they delay the game We are the collateral damage in the never-ending war of valve vs. the people they betrayed who posses the magical power of hacking their systems. Unless it is all true then it will go gold Monday preload started on a friday... monday could have something.
