ive recently been thinking about what i want done with my remains after i die. it would be awesome if my family "weekend at bernies-ed" me on an airplane to sweden to have this done. |

That reminded me of a scene from a classic Laurel and Hardy movie : The Flying Deuces.
Olly is planning to jump in a river after being rejected by a beautiful young waitress he was planning on marrying. He drags his lifelong friend Stan into jumping in with him. Both their ropes are tied to a huge stone and Olly is counting off.
Then, Stanley suddenly interrupts with a question:
"Olly, what would you like to come back as when you die?"
To which Olly responds:
"Gee, I don't know. I like horses, I guess I'd like to come back as a horse. What about you Stanley?"
Stanley immediatley says:
"Oh, I'd like to come back as myself. I get along SWELL with myself!"
So, think about that next time you think I don't care what happens with your body. You may need it sometime down the road...you never know!

Well I wouldn't want my body to be buried in a chest underground, having worms eating on it. I want it deep frosen and stored by one of those companies. I'll be preserved and not eaten by ants and worms and if I feel like returning to earth I'll still have my body.
And when they have the technology they can bring me back to life. They'll probably need me for something in the future.

I care what happens to my body. I don't want humans fucking around with it. Leave it be type of thing. I don't want to think about my body lying nakid on a table with a cloth 9sometimes) over it. If my body happens to end up in the hands of people (most likely) then I want to be creamated (really not suppose to be, but it is what I want) |
I know lots of people care but really, i dont. I mean, i dont want a lavish funeral and stuff. Put me in a box, hopefully my family will say some nice things about me and then bury me.
Like when my grandmother died. My uncle spent 10 grand on the coffin alone  that so excessive imo. He can afford still, he's rich but fuck. 10g's for a box thats going to be buried? ridiculous.
Death is interesting tho. I wonder if you can stay around and watch your own funeral. |

I don't want a funeral at all but I guess it is important for everyone else. It was very important for my grandmother. I think it is important to let the people around you know what you want. When my cousin died his wife tried to but a religious slant on everything. She isn't religious either or I had never know her to be. It was really hard on his parents because they aren't Christian and are not religious. Big family mess. I feel like she hijacked his ashes to. Made me be really clear about what I want type of thing |

People go religious when people around them die. I think they think it is what they are supose to do. It is the 'right' and 'respectfull' thing to do. She wanted an open casket too and he died of head injuries. Pretty bad ones. So his mom and Dad didn't go to the funeral. No body needs to see that. She is a head case. Within 3 months she hooked up with a good friend of his and that guy still lives in the same house. My mother-in law always said to me when your daughter gets married you gain a son. When your son gets married you lose him and it was soo true in this situation. |

I do. It is a perfect punishment for someone who is a really big bitch or who is really vain.
This new guys of hers is far to timid to ever do anything mean to her. And really when it comes down to it I wish her all the best in life. I just want nothing to do with her. |

They should have store isles labled as comfort food! I mean it tastes soo good! YOu don't really need comfort! Just buy a box of awesomest cookies ever and just eat!  Or or or or or expensive awesome ice cream! Häagen-Dazs or some shit liek that! I would pretty much buy all my sweets at the comfort food isle! I mean, everything else would just be worthless cause you know when people are depressed and shit they want something sweet and shit to make them feel happier so they end up buying the sweetest chocolate, the bestest cheetos and the saltiest pretzels!

They care because if you’re too fat they have to buy a biggest casket! If you're too skinny they can't make a smaller one so they end up paying for pillows you're never going to need. They want you to be in good enough shape so that an average shaped coffin won't cost them a lot I heard some phat people were buried in piano boxes It’s sickly hilarious! Speaking of expensive funerals and shit. That's something that really pisses me off. Companies actually making money of death! Capitalizing on death is the absolute height of greed and arrogance. Why the fuck does a dead person need a fucking solid mahogany coffin with gold trimmings and velvet padding inside it? What the fuck are they gonna do? Wake up and start complaining about getting a sore neck if the coffing doesn't have nice and soft padding? These greedy fucking companies would have you believe that you don't respect the person you're burying if you don't buy a fucking solid platinum coffin for them. Oh, so because i don't feel like feeding their disgusting greed, i don't respect the person i'm burying? Fuck that. When i die i just want them to throw my body in a pit and bury it. No box, no fancy armani suit, and make up, and embalming fluid, and a diamond encrusted platinum coffin, a priest, pall bearers, funeral prosession or any of that shit. Just throw my fucking corpse in a pit and cover it. And then give the money you would have spent to line the pockets of some greedy pig to a homeless shelter or something. Or better yet, grind me down and use me as fertilizer to grow food, and then send it to the starving children of Africa. No fucking way would i want my family to spend their money on some greedy fucking funeral company.

I know what you mean about funural companies ripping people off. Some really bad ethics there. recycling of graves, giving the wrong ashes knowlingly. Hidden fees
I do believe there should be some pricy coffins so people can have choices. Hopefully people who can’t afford will put their families first and be strong enough to resist it.

Exactly. There's no need for lavish spending on someone's funeral.
Its a waste of money. I'd rather my family/beneficeraries (sp?) use that money for better use - to better their own lives, donate to a charity etc
Like i said (i think i did anyway), my uncle went all out for my grandmother's funeral. 5g coffin i think...
What put 5grand into the ground? it doesnt make sense to me... |

Yeah, that shit is expensive, but you want people to remember you as a hole in the ground? When people see a corpse in an expensive casket they don't just say oh it's an expensive casket, but how well the body is suited for it. How comfortable it seems. How calm it is.

See, you’re thinking mostly about yourself, but do you really want your family and friends to see you thrown into a grinder when you die? It’d be pretty horrific. Bones crushing, blood spurting, your limbs getting twisted. Yeah, it sounds cute, don’t it? To you since you don’t give a fuck since you’re dead. But your son/daughter? Come on! It’s better to be buried in an expensive casket than add additional grief to your loved ones. That’s my opinion.
I wanna be cremated, after my body was used for complete organ donation!
