Thanks for the info! I was afraid of closing the game and losing all the progress I made :s It's kinda misleading when it says 'All the progress will be lost if you quit' or something like that even if you're in the café thingy.

That doesn't actually mean much. Go back a couple pages and read the dialog with that guy who couldn't find the crack on the reloaded cd image he d/led. He unrared the image, installed it fine, and when told to read nfo 3 times, even copy/pasted from nfo, but still couldn't find it. He begged for it like 10 differant times in 10 differant posts.

I'm sure there are other examples of cluelessness of some nforce users.

Just a question...sorry if i will sound a bit errrrm...arrogant here. Isn't this a real kiddy game?

Its not though. Its basically a platformer game, and PC doesn't have all that many good platformers. It also has a lot of humor and a lot of cool little things spread throughout.
If all you like are FPS with cutting edge graphics, you wont like this. But if you like other games as well, give it a try, you might like it.

an example of a moment of lego/starwars humor: When Leia tries to put the holograph thingy into R2D2, in the movies she slid it into a slot on the bot. In the game, since r2d2 is a solid lego, she can't figure out how to slide it in. Finally she gives up and opens up his head and tosses the disk into his empty body.

As mentioned above, there's times when you see stormtroopers in undies which is funny. Like the time when you open a door and 2 stormtroopers are in a small jacuzi in undies next to each other. To me that screamed GAY! and it was funny. If you had an all male force of stormtroopers, you'd have to expect some of that.

For anyone that played the first game, you know how you could go into the cafe thing and if you walked outside all the characters would be outside and they would fight eachother... is there a similiar area in this game?

Yes, take the elevators (the doors with the down arrow in the bar) down and outside.

whoooa...slow down. That wasn't a random post. Actually I got the idea to download it after reading this thread and played it like for 2 hrs. At first I enjoyed it but then the game didn't have any more surprises for me and I was still doing episode IV !!!

Umm...nop...I'm more into RPGs and flight sims actually.
I don't like the box vision of FPS's but more 3rd person.

Well...I'm not so big SW fan to notice that Wink ... sry Sad

Things I didn't like:
1) Controls ... ugh!!!...and has anyone tried to use a mouse ???...argh!!!
2) FFW cutscenes....I mean, I was just beginning to understand what's goinig on when the cutscene was already over ??? WTF???
3) Running and jumping around and shooting pointlessly at things....most of the time my teammates because of the crappy...umm...CONTROLS!!!!
4) When my wife took a look at the screen her first reaction was...Super Mario??? It was quite similar to Super Mario I must say Wink
5) did I allready say CRAPPY CONTROLS???

riiiiiight...and a PC should transform more and more into a console???...I have a mouse, and a keyboard and a joystick...I think I have enough input devices attached to my PC for the devs to decide which one suits best for their title but noooooooooo....I need also a gamepad ???...baah...assrape!!!

But anyway....I try not to touch any console ports any more because they always let me down...especially the contols part.

Thanks for reading my whinging and whining Wink

1) Using the keyboard only is much better, trust me. Just use the standard config, change the jump to SPACE and fire to CTRL and a couple other keys.
2) they are short because most people playing this game have seen star wars movies and understand what its about. They put little jokes in each cut scene too. Like where Luke takes off C3P0s head when he picks up the lightsaber for hte first time. That definately didnt happen in the movies heheh.
They dont actually speak during the cut scenes so its easier to localize, kinda like The Sims, where they just mumble.
3) yeah the teammates get in the way, fortunately blaster shots are auto aim so its not terribly bad. If you are playing by yourself, just try to shoot through your teammate. You dont get penalized in any way for a teammate death like that, so you can shoot him dead then kill the baddies on the other side of him Smile
Its also easier if you get the 2x power blaster powerup. Its a secret red brick on I think the first level.

Thank you so much! The savegame unlocked a load of extra characters from episodes 1-3. It's GREAT to murderize those stormtroopers with General Grievous! Very Happy

Odd, I used it and NOTHING happened that I can see. Does it unlock them to wander around in the bar for you to pick? Or?
Things needed:
1) Savegame from Lego Star Wars 1 in Lego Star Wars 2 savegames folder
2) Buy Use Old Savegame Extra from the Canteen
3) In the Extras menu, turn on the Use Old Savegame option you unlocked.

The unlocked Content is only available in Freeplay mode. Enjoy! Very Happy
Btw, is it me or does Grievous seem a bit of a wussy? Somehoe I believe he was much stronger in the prequel...

So theres no point pissing about in the cantina if you aren't planning on completing another mission?
Indeed, you are correct: any studs you gain while in the canteen won't be saved unless you start and end a mission right after it. Razz

Ah hah! Thats why when I bought something accidently and figured "hey if I quit now, it wont have bought that because it didn't save), but when I loaded it it was still there Smile

Thanks, thats an easy way to save if you screw around in cantina. I don't often buy the characters, so I can just buy one of those I haven't bought yet.

Cant wait to start playing this game. Smile

Love the game, Fun as hell. But i have one gripe.

Why didnt they use the bigger lego starwars models?

They use the large xwing models in the cut scenes, but they use the mini star destoryers in other cut scenes. Just a small gripe, but it could have been so much detailed if they used the full sized lego models.

But even with that small gripe, its still a 10/10 game IMO.

You are the one that did the vid? Sweet.

BTW, is it just me or are the Super Story Bonus (beat each ep in 1 hour) story cut scenes longer and have stuff thats missing in the normal story mode?
