No Wii topics on the first page?! Hogwash!
Anyways, the big event is coming! September 14th/15th, hellll yah.
So what do you think the release date and price will be? We all know they promised under $250. Some say that means $249, haha. Others have speculated even under $200, the rumour mill turns and turns lately.
Some speculate the release date in October, others more toward thanksgiving.
The Wii is the console I'm looking forward to the most.
I know it's hard, but let's try to keep this thread away from a console flame fest.  Wii fans unite!
Me? I'll be pre-ordering the very first imagineable second I can, along with Red Steel and Zelda: Twilight Princess.
Let the Wii excitement commence! Counting the hours until the big event, they've just GOTTA' let public the price and release date. Discuss!

Well, if you ask me, it's been waay too flippin' long of a wait for the big n to spill the beans. To hell with their secretive ways, it is freaking killin us hardcore fans out there!
<breathes> Ok, now that is cleared up, I say anything near 250 is too high after all the rumors of the price being as low as 170. If they wanna sell at that high a price, they better be including wii-sports and maybe 2 controllers. After all, that price is only 50 bucks less than the barebones 360, which is a downright bargain. For the bare system with just one controller, a 199 price would be nice. If it is around 250 for a sparse package? I might just wait to pre-order until i hear how positive the reaction is among the early adopters.
Anyways keepin my fingers crossed for the best...

I preordered one with my local store at about 300$ USD but thats 50$ I had to put down for preorder aswell and I will get those back when the console comes, i'll most likely just use that for an extra game or something

november 19th $249.99 and it comes with a bundled game Wii sports collection. With over 25 launch titles to choose from. Now thats what i call a stong launch. The News has leaked with todays edition of the New York Times

I´ll definately be getting a Wii on the releasedate since it´s so fucking cheap, i will buy it just for Super Mario Galaxy and Zelda: Twilight Fucking Princess.

It appears as though Wii Sports is bundled again only with the US launch, not the Japanese launch as seen by the box pic, with a big sticker slapped on that says Wii Sports included. 
We'll see though, US event happening soon! Hurray!

Might be worth getting...
So far only Wii Sports, Red Steel and Zelda have my interest...
Need a lot of more games to make me buy the console, so I'll just sit it out and see what happens

Wii might be cool but i seriously dislike the cartoony (big heads, single-color-textures etc) feeling most of the games seem to have.
