Well I don't have any problems with the game atleast. Still running 1.0 though, but never experienced any hiccups.

Well this problem lays actually in the bypass tools for the game protection and how many partitions you did have on you PC, Curerom 2.02 and lower, Tetris 1.11 and lower turn the changement of your stations, special when they been installed with some StarFuk bypass tools.
Most of the times after a reboot of your system they been changed in a random other station, your XP will have problems to restore them in the right other, for your HDD's its getting problems with their MBR, so i can break then in certain way your MBR or its making your heads click.
Its not the Game itselfs who make the problem on your HDD's, but more the shit you installed to run bypass the game protection, a copy orr crack is always made on 1 simulair system and not an a high end PC what you may have over there.
Most of you guys did still working with 1 HDD with no partition at all, so those bypass tools won't have any problems, but it kills when you have indeed more partitions on several HDD's.
Click of the HDD has also the source for not good connecting of your power cables to them, the power supply system is a very old technology from the stone age, if you have a loose connection on your HDD it can have less power and it will prefrom that the drive will park the heads while its spinning, so a thighten power connection avoid this problem.
I had the same problems a few days ago and had to bought a new fresh HDD and had do some lower Format action and changement with the partitions seize on those clicking HDD's to get the rid of it...

I had this same problem with HD's for a long time in my raid system, drives would be fine, then for like 2-3 days drives would click and system would crash, even after a strip down and rebuild, reformat.
In the end i started to swap out hardware, and it turned out it was the power supply not giving the board enough juice on the 12 volt rail.
So check ya power supply....

Harddrives will suvive almost anything. I have this 200 gig hdd that have been making a high pitch noice for almost 6 months now, if not more already. I thought: "Oh well, might use it until it crashes..." but it haven't... yet. Sometimes it makes ever more noices, scaryer noices. Like really spinning up and so... Anyway, did a diskcheck and it cleared 100%, dunno what's wrong but I figure it's some mechanical problem inside the disc, but it survives =)
P.S Hopefully it will survice until aug/sept when I order my new comp so I can backupcopy all on that disc =) *knock on wood* D.S
Anyway, it might be the disc that is failing, do a disccheck and see. If not, probably some thing with the power to the disc, try changeing the power supply cable and so on.
Hope it helps.
