hey the road building is shit! in originals you had to choose every paths that way you could avoid steep paths for important things like wood and in later on they did it so the guys made their own roads but this is a bit basic, just click. i hope its as fun as settlers 1 on the old times

i'm really having fun with the game. The game feels the same, even the graphics, although on 3d now are reminding of the old settlers 2, wich is a very nice thing. Even the sounds are the same. I bet that the original files are included in this release, only the graphic engine was changed. The only thing about it is that after playing settlers for so long, even if it was some time ago(wow, 10 years...) i know the maps pretty well, so i know what to expect in each one of them. And since the maps are pretty linear to resolve...oh well

hold on...how do I survey for water now for my wells?? Or can I place wells anywhere? The tooltip suggests they work like mines in that they only produce when places ona zone with water, and I thought that was how it worked in the original, so is that no longer the case?

I could've sworn there was a surveyor dude to find underground springs for wells :/

i can has computar?!

Maby try to click on the green/yellow icons next to the road section huh? Then maby try to click again at a new point perhaps? You know, to build the road exactly how you want, just the thing you were complaining didnt exist? Cool

If you look in the readme, you will find it is no longer necessary to survey for water. Wells can be built anywhere and will function properly. Wink

Thanks for that. I had flipped through the manual but didn't see anything about wells. Figures they'd hide that info in a readme

I guess the reason it's not in the manual is because it was a last minute change. In the demo (which was released a couple of weeks before going gold) you still needed to find water before building a well

I'm glad that they made this change, as I hated having geos search for water, when I sent them out to search the mountains

I really enjoying this game again, played many days continiously with my friends with hamachi, and it works awesome.

The only think i hope they're going to fix in a future patch, is the ability to save the game in lan multiplayer games.

Amazing game, going to screw my whole weekends with it!
