Your have to make sure that you are using securom loader version 1.2
I haven't lost my mind. I know exactly where I left it.

You have to mount CD1, not CD2.

Using DT 4.0.6HE and can't get it to work. Tried both procyon and Securom_Loader_1_2 but both just gives the same error. When I run C4Exec.exe (through them) I get:
"Please remove disc from current CD/DVD drive and insert the original "Caesar IV" disc
in drive F:."
F: is my actual DVD and the Caesar IV is mounted on H:. I tried to switch the device letters but that did not help. Any suggestions for this problem?

I had the same problem as you. However, it worked upon pointing ASR to CaesarIV.exe rather than C4Exec.exe.

I tried this from the start but then I'm getting the message:
"A required security module can not be activated.
This program can not be executed (12004)."

Hmm. Sorry -- I don't know what the problem is then. DT 4.06HE and ASR pointing at CaesarIV.exe work for me.

Try putting the asr.exe into a folder OTHER than the Sierra/Caesar IV folder. For some reason it worked for me.
Oh and I'm also using the newest Daemon Tools with all options on (dunno if it helps or not as I haven't checked.)

This game just crashes as soon as I try to start it. Tried different versions of DT and ASR... Nothing works, works on my old computer and the only differance is that it has DT 4.03HE 1.24 SPTD while as this one has 1.29 (I tried with 1.25 to). Can't seem to find a download for the older one tough... =(

Bleh. The shit gaming companies put us gamers thru just amazes me. If anyone else can fight thru the botched up interface enough to actually build a city, they have tons more patience than I do. I can't believe this game has been worked on so long and yet they can't do a simple thing like have the menu close after you click something? Or make the free-range camera actually know when you are pressing the rmb or not? Anyways guess I'll have to find my old caesar 2 cd or else wait a few monthes for a patch for some decent (non-buggy as hell) city building...

If you have problems with both procyon and asr (like I did on my xp64 rig), try AlkiSecuROM loader. It was created for hitman blood money, but seems to wok well on this one as well.

With dtools 4.03he, all emulations on, mount ccd-cr4a.mds and change your desktop shortcut to something like that (with your respective paths, asr.exe is here renamed to srloader.exe):
"D:\Program Files\Games\srloader.exe" -r D:\Program Files\Games\Caesar IV\CaesarIV.exe
