Works for me:
Mount ccd-cr4a.mds on Daemon tools 4.03HE (all options off)
- KRKSecurom_Loader 1.2 (asr.exe) NOT ON THE SAME DIR AS THE GAME

So has anyone figured out an ultimate layout yet for all the housing and industry blocks so everything runs perfectly?

This game is decent but not as good as its prequels.
But this game is far better than craps like CivCity: Rome and Glory of the Roman Empire .

Still not bloody working!!!! This needs a fix dammit!
Mount ccd-cr4a.mds on Daemon tools 4.03HE (all options off)
- KRKSecurom_Loader 1.2 (asr.exe) NOT ON THE SAME DIR AS THE GAME
did that but no dice...should the shortcut really look like this:
P:\games\asr.exe -r P:\games\caesar 4\CaesarIV.exe
Is that correct?

ok this is how i got it working
mount the mds in DT 4.03he all options on! (emulaion options that is)
run asr and point to the caesariv.exe (asr is in the same dir the image is.. cant see why where it is, matters in the slightest..)
thats it.. works fine here
maybe im just lucky. but gotta admit a lot of images dont work for me.. so i normally grab the rld/cracked vers if there is one

By the way i tried the above method with both the regular Cloned image and the mini image. both worked fine.
Mini image has or had a link to it in this thread i believe

I have some technical difficulties with this game.
It lags like hell when I scroll using the keyboard. I press left, and half a second later the screen moves. I've even turned shadows and AA of, but still it's very laggy.
My system is more than adequate, requirements-wise. Has anyone else experienced this?

No go here. I'm using DT 4.06 and can't get it to run. This method took a long time then ultimately failed.

Not a bad game. It's probably the best one of the bunch of all the "rome" games released recently.
Didnt have any probs installing or playing. I'm currently using daemon tools 4.06HE to mount the image (the mdf one) and using asr to load the thing up. I dont have any emulation options on in daemon tools and I dont have anything lese running either.
Like I said before, Game is decent enough and runs well enough too. I do experience some slight lag when moving the camera round with the mouse or the keyboard but I guess it's nothing that cant be patched soon enough. Btw, i have already patched it too the 1.1 version but i think that effects mostly online play.

I've tried with both asr and procs, I just renamed procs to jack, and no luck.
It takes a long time, but ultimately fails, its the longest out of all the attempts. I'm no tsure if that means its getting close or what.

Guys,
I know that all of you have tried everything on this game and as all of you me also am waiting for a reloaded release.
Still, I say
1. Pr0tSt0p 1.0 -> hide virtual device
2. Daemon Tool 4.06he ->Load CD1
3. asr.exe 1.2 (change to some other name like Caesarivload.exe) -> point to CaesarIV.exe
It takes some time but then it finally loads the f..ing game. Sometimes you have to try different times. Once I just unloaded the image after 20 secs of check and it opened the game. No logic but it did do the trick.
!!!!!!!RELOADED PLZ DO SOMETHING FOR US CITY BUILDERS!!!!!!!!
If you think that you know, it's then that you don't know

By the way. It runs really slow when the city gets bigger on my AMD 2800+, 512 DDR and Geforce 3Ti.

Isn't this the same engine that was used in Children of the Nile? That game also bogged when the city grew large. They should multithread their games, because they may eventually run smooth on future processors. Like an 8-core or something.
