Demo finally coming out tomorrow.

Pacific Assault demo incoming
The playable demo for the next PC Medal of Honor game is now set to arrive Friday.

The follow-up to the tremendously popular Medal of Honor Allied Assault isn't due until November, but tomorrow EALA will offer an early look at the Pacific theater WWII action game.

The 556MB demo centers on the battle for Henderson Field at Guadalcanal, and players can expect to encounter close-quarters fights with Japanese squads and mass numbers of Japanese planes attacking the airfield. The enemy's dynamic squad AI is a major feature the demo will show off, but there's no word as of yet what part the new "combat squad control" feature will play in the demo.

Oh yeah here's the system requirements:

* 1.5 Ghz PIV or Athlon XP 1500
* 256 Mb RAM
* Video card that fully supports DX 8.1 with 64 Mb RAM

I got Doom 3 working fine but I don't trust EA and their engines. Well I'll find out how it runs on my comp tomorrow.

This game comes from some of the best gaming pedigree - surely you can't judge it on how it looks in a few videos!

I'll put my testicles on the fact that this game plays far above the average.

Any takers?

Even though moh: aa used the quake 3 engine it still didn't run as good as it should. Call of Duty uses the Quake 3 engine and that runs great. For example. With MOH: AA I had everything the highest and the resolution at 800x600 and the game ran around 30 fps. With Call of Duty I had everything the highest and the resolution at 1280x1024 and that runs around 30 fps too.

You had a problem dude, here Medal of Honor was running smooth at high details 1024*768+ fsaa 2x on an old radeon 8500 + Athlon 1.4 ghz processor while call of duty was a torture making a 9700pro + a XP 2500 CPU crawl.

Hmm weird. I mean the game did run smooth most of the time. Only when like explosions and lots of stuff happening (D-day, getting shot) is when it slowed down a little.

Actually the gfx are not to bad.

I had only seen screenshots and thought they looked rather crap.

But just saw a movie and looked alot better..

But they were shooting down planes with thompsons .... thats just stupid.

and im not a kid.. and dont rate games on there gfx.. infact the games i play the most are games with some of the worst gfx u have ever seen (HOI etc)

Sorry Cartoon, not just taking it out on you, but you know what I mean. MOH:AA was incredible, Call Of Duty was amazing, there's no reason why this won't be brilliant too. Sure, the engine may be a bit dated (though it's probably been updated again slightly), but games like this prove that graphics don't make a game, gameplay does.
