The guy in the video is constantly left clicking and thus swinging madly even when the enemy dodges so it's no suprise he gets knocked down again and again. (Boar should kill him though but leaves him just knocked down)
He could also try to block or move away or even flee.

It's not the knoking that is making the game look extremely stupid (or like some like to call ig "gay")! For me, it the stupid cutting music, the NPCs and the repeating sounds... "Oah Oah Oah Oah Oah Oah Oah Oah Oah Oah Oah Oah" (in the end of the vid). |

Can't say I was impressed by the game (after checking the boar vid)...but hey, perhaps its more fun than it looks like.
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

Guess i'll have to see the video again, but it's true normal NPC's seem to do low damage.
(Starting fight took ages because I watched it the first time but as soon as I started hacking away it only took a few minutes)
The end sequence in the video does look rather weird though.

Ending fight looked really weird...and the boar sequence..well, dunno what others found wrong with it - but I think it looks just plain boring. Looks like an almost endless fight to me..

What do you mean by boring. If you qualify that as boring, then every Gothic game had that 'problem'. The guy obviously didn't put time in skills and that's why it takes so long to kill boars. I remember playing Gothic 2 and being frustrated in the beginning. Every animal kicked my ass and after some tries I just ran whenever I saw a dino. But after some leveling and skilling i felt like a warrior. That's the thing I like. In the beginning you're a pussy but become a badass with practice. What's wrong with that?
It almost seems like people are bashing this game just for the sake of bashing. And 90% of those people don't even have the game.
The end of the movie seems bad though, but the 'oah, oah, oah' is not rare in RPG's.

OMG, Oblivion is bad, and even there you won't hear "Oah Oah Oah" so many times... Haven't they heard of sound variations? |

A movie can be made just the way you like. I could make a movie playing Oblivion making it look brilliant or crap. Reading you're previous posts you seem very eager to bash this game even though you didn't even play it. You should be a reviewer, using a single movie made by a gamer is the way to go.

heh, I found the boar video pretty hilarious. I really hope they fix the sounds and animations because that's all I can really see wrong with an otherwise great looking game. Dumb video or not, I'm reserving judgement 100% until I've actually tried it myself.
