Splinter Cell 1, 2, and 3 have the same engine with some modifications, I think SC4 will be the same. SC is Pixel Shader 1.x my friend Laughing if you can play SC3 you can SC4 (if they are using the same engine, i hope)

Man, why are ignorant idiots who have not read any piece of information (like official requirements, like all the bitching in previous posts and threads) post shit like that and spread false hope? READ BEFORE YOU POST!

About the system requirements for this game...

I have seen the official requirents, but i must say that i find the requirements a little odd. I mean, it's stange that the game demands so much cpu power, ram etc. when Ubisoft has announced the game for Playstation2 and X-Box (first generation X-Box). How on earth will the developer make a game like this run on these consoles???

Any thoughts?

No.

Splinter Cell (1st game) and Pandora Tomorrow used Unreal Engine 2.0, while Chaos Theory switched to UE2.5. All of them used custom renderers. Double Agent also uses UE2.5, but the renderer has been upgraded since CT.

NVIDIA GeForce 6800 (Processor: GeForce 6800)

btw, what does they use for protection? same as CT did? then they will have some hard work to crack DA? or have they solved the cracking within the cracking of CT?

I seriously doubt that they will use StarForce on it, probably just SecuROM.

Any system requirements so far have been bogus, I checked the official UBI forums and couldn't find any there either, information seems to be immensely sparse.

But hey, we are talking about UBI, they seem to be extremely incompetent nowadays. For example, Rainbowsix Vegas is in fact coming to PC in November, but there is no official word about it anywhere (yet it still has been confirmed by devs on the forum).
