*FAMILY GUY*
- Official web page: LINK
- Publisher: 2K Games
- Developer: High Voltage
- Genre: Combat/Puzzle/Stealth
- Release date: 16 October 2006
- Story/Description:
Quote: |
The first video game based on the hugely popular Family Guy TV show, the Family Guy game will feature the same outrageous humor all the fans know and love. Play through three stories that intersect in typical Family Guy fashion.
* Play as three popular characters from the show: the loveable Peter, the diabolical Stewie and the charismatic Brian.
* "Freakin' sweet" gameplay switches back and forth to each character throughout the game.
* Funny and unique combination of combat, stealth and puzzle-solving gameplay.
* Family Guy wouldn't be complete without the random funny things, satirizing pop-culture, that jump out and seemingly have no place in the flow of the story - now you can actually play them!
* Interactive Humor - take part in the jokes, parodies and sarcasm as though you were part of the show.
* Visit familiar locations around Quahog and interact with many beloved characters from the show. Giggity! Giggity! Giggity!

Anyway, I'm pumped for this game, as a Family Guy fan and it's release is imminent. Hopefully there's more than me hangin' out for this game.
Cheers guys

thanks for the edit.
As to the game, I have no doubt that it might suck a little..... but it contains locations, humour and characters straight out of the show, so it can't be that bad.
I even played that futurama game to the end. Mind you, if they had done futurama in the 'simpsons hit and run' style, that would've kicked so much ass.

just been playing it. it's really fun - i'm glad i preordered it.
you start off as stewie. there are loads of typical family guy jokes in it - both in the videos before levels and the levels themselves.
all in all, at this point, i'd give it a 8.5/10. It has actually been quite challenging in parts - and its got alot of promise.
I will give a better review later.

LOL i did same thing. game is awful. voice acting is brilliant and story is good but game is BAD, unoriginal, makes futurama game look like a 10/10 game

took me 2 goes to finish it, and it would've been 1 but I felt sleepy.
I'd give it a 6.5 outta 10, but a 10/10 for retaining the humour of the shows and having an abundance of easter eggs from the show.

Anyone else getting a dirty disc error if they try to use the character viewer? I get it every time, the rest of the game runs fine though

The first one is pretty easy, so that I won't write down.
here are the combinations for the last two.
2. square, cross, circle, cross, square, square, square, cross, cross, cross, square, triangle, triangle.
3. square, cross, circle, cross, square, square, square, cross, cross, cross, square, triangle, triangle. square, cross, circle, cross, square, sqaure
hope that help's
What I did was I wrote them down bit by bit, untill I got it all, and then I just could look at my notes and press the keys
I'm having much trouble with the second Clamb Shell, always low on health when I get to it damm hehe.
Stewies Mission are my farvorites, Brians last bit on the police station, was very anoying with Joe Swanson Grrr, But I manage to get by it at last though.

Thanks for that. That worked well.
Mind you, it's a bit broken. Choosing one of stewies levels leaves you stranded as you can't fire your gun, loading the minigames just brings up a black screen.... other than that sort of issue, it's fine.
