AHUahuhauahu that was really bad! Even today in 1.4 the browser sometimes doesn t work properly ......
What was really annoying was the Red Tag problem.. seems to be fixed now in Bf 2142 so far!

The people that BOUGHT the physical boxed copy of the game were not informed of this until they opened the box, and the white slip fell out. Here in the US, 95% of software retailers don't let you return a game once it has been opened. Seeing as how it is not PRINTED ON THE BOX, you have no way of knowing. Isn't this false advertising/misinformation.

Also, those who preordered via EA Downloader were never given any such notice in any way shape or form. Again, how is such shady shit legal? Could I plead for a chargeback on my credit card claiming false advertising? Twisted Evil

Dudes RELAX, a DICE dude in their forum posted and told everyone that the so called "spyware" is completely ingame ONLY.

What does it actually DO?
It logs your Ip to see what country you are from and such for statistical purposes
It logs what ad's (INGAME) that you look at, and how long you look at them.
It uses the logs to display more of the same type of ads you looked at the most.

Stop with the conspiracy theories already, who said that it was spyware that would log every single internet activity? Some lowlife with nothing better to do? This is why i never listen to individual noname people producing rumours just to seem more interesting.

I don't care if it logs what PR0N I watch. The fact of the matter is they FAIL TO INFORM THE CONSUMER ABOUT THIS UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE.

For all intents and purposes, such a tactic is borderline illegal.

And some days later you receive a lot of SPAM in your mailbox with the same type of ad's.
Maybe they even sell the logs/data they collected to ad-companies.

I'm having a problem ATM, I'm not sure this is the right board, but this is not a strictly technical problem.. I have a legit dvd--key now, and I'm trying to get the game to work but, in the end, I can't access online play, because of the "single-player only" razor crack.. Would there be any ways to get the EA master server to work??

Could burning the DVD solve this?

otherwise, I'll just have to wait for a MP crack .. or mini-image

How about a safedisc workaround? like pr0t.stop and stuff...? Then you wouldn't have to crack the exe while still loading the image through DT

Actually one could try the VCD trick from Gothic III. Just an idea but then again I don't know to much about cracking...hacking yes Razz but cracking and stuff down that way...not really.

i dont belive that they released a clone couse this would be a nuke for sure. this game cant work without a real key thats why it need to be cracked!

Well, how bout people who "import" regularly bought keys and want to use them? Very Happy A working clone (or mini image) would be perfect! (not so scene-like, anyway..)

We have bought only key ( valid key ) from web, now we only need cloned version to play on official server.
We can also use only a simple mini-image Smile
