Well he's one of those guys who just wants action all the time.

well, in the latest season of sg1, action is really all there is left, because the scripts and acting are just going worser every week.
sg1 is still a watchable series but it doens't gives you a kick out of watching it, battlestar galactica is a totally different matter, in fact I don't even consider galactica to be a sci-fi series, this show is not about surreal space combats or groundbreaking sci-fi theories.
this show is about war and survival and trust, the only sci-fi element in BSG is just the fact that most of the show is spent within a ship, but this third season seems to changed that also.

Great two episodes, can't understand how you can say it lacked tension? It's not the best BSG episodes ever but it's back to business as usual and it's entertainment not to be sniffed at. I'm also surprised at how an American show handled all the suicide bombing stuff.... impressive!
Colonel Tigh is cool as hell as well!

I like him, he's the weasel with few, if any, redeeming qualities. The character that makes me turn into the hulk is starbuck, she's basically the white version of Michelle Rodriguez Strong female roles; YES.... but some range please!

I like it how nothing is ever completely black or white in this series.
I also think fisk should be unbanned.

if you replace "Battlestar Galactica" with "FusionDexterity".

You are wrong
This show is just brilliant and the 'war' helped levitate it even further as we've been watching these characters for so long and it turned everything upside down. Unfortunately the aftermath seems a little predictable and less cutting than previous episodes. It was a good episode, good entertainment and so forth, but I thought it was one of the low points of this season for sure.

I can see how it may be hard to get into as unlike star trek there is constant progression.
It ain't like simpsons where everything returns to normal after each episode.
Don't get me wrong, I used to like star trek too (some of them) but the BSG universe kicks ass and has mature story telling. Maybe it's because I used to watch reruns of the original as a kid.

BSG is so much more mature then StarTrek. It actually deals with death in a realistic fashion, and even tackles the issues of resistance to subjugation that are so prominent in todays politics.

Sorry but I rank BSG right up there with Babylon 5 which was one of my all time favorites. The best thing about BSG, it's dark and captures the human emotions of being crammed into a bunch of ships & being hunted quite nicely. I am completely hooked on this show and there is very little left on TV to watch anymore but this show. I only pray that the recent changes in regards to NBC don't screw the show with piles of edits!

Farscape looool. Farscape was a hirrific piece 'a shit that noone in his right mind should ever consider as science fiction. It was one of those cheesy low-cost shit productions (ala Xena and Sheena and Beastmaster and whatever) that had way too long running time. I guess the poorer the production, the longer you last.
