Not really. It brings out the different shades and actually gives it a lot of depth. Especially at the point below the two owls. Very autumnish. Very Happy

Two owls on a branch. Now that's a rare sight in real life.

I would bag it in brown paper & hide it afterwards .. bring it out for Halloween only .. IMO it woudl look way out of place on a summer day ..

We have a copy of this over the piano ..



On a hard board suspended from the wall no frame ..

like the china doll & lamp .. Dali is so good .. have one of his on a hardboard outside .. its faded so much now .. you can only see the image @ certain times of day .. the one with the gondola singer & Dali himself ..

I bought mine for 50$ Laughing
Someone wanted to throw it out and my father bought it from him.
Thanks to that I learned how to play on it and it so pwns.
All we had to do is an overall fix that didn't cost too much. Though now it needs another one since it's over 100 years old and things get fucked up quickly :/
