not good max 20-30fps more
the only good thing you can do is switching to a 7800gs

Thanks for your opinions but I need exact results. They will speak fof themselves...
btw.20-30 FPS would be tremendiously great but such a big leap seems to me very far-fetched

Hm. running a A8N SLI Deluxe myself so no prob, I think ur right but, no APG as far as I have read...sorry.
But this is just mind blowing...or stupid witch ever way you see it.
"The marketing material included with the card claims NVIDIA requires at least a 450W power supply for a single GeForce 8800GTX, and 400W for the 8800GTS. Top tier vendors in Taiwan have already confirmed with DailyTech that GeForce 8800 cards in SLI mode will likely carry a power supply "recommendation" of 800W. "

I upgraded from 6800 128 mb to 7800 GS 256 mb.
From minimum details in Dark Messiah and louzy FPS I went to 30-40 FPS with everything on max. So yeah it helps quite a lot.
But also depending whether you have lot of money to spend. I'd wait for a proper DX10 card (and not those 7900 cards, which eventually will run at minimum settings when the real DX10 games will come)
I myself have an AGP slot and am not planning to upgrade for PCI-e cards and the stuff. So getting a 7800 GS is basicly the best card I can get for my rig. Thus imo worth the investment.

i went from 6600GT to a 6800GS and it gave me like 30% fps boost... i imagine a 7xxx+ would do a shitload more, if u can utilize all the SLI etc options... i couldnt so such an expensive upgrade wasnt needed
happy wit me 6800 tho

It's a big jump, especially considering the price.
A 7600GT beats a 6800GT, so you can imagine how much faster it is then a 6600GT.
And unless you've got $400-500 to drop on a DX10 card there is no point in waiting.
The high end cards come next month but I don't think the sub $200 DX10 cards will be out before March.
edit: specifically on Oblivion, ATi cards run the game much better. But they don't have any decent cards for the price range of a 7600GT.
I do not hail Caesar

With that piece of shit proccesor you can't get the full potential of the 6600GT let alone the 7600GT, get a new proc and 2gb ram that would be a much much better upgrade.
