So.. Can anyone else download the game yet? I signed up for a key and the 'download now' button does nothing, and the actual client URL 'download' button redirects to the front page.
Because everyone reads these amirite.

I can only tell you I looked at the "maf" file and it was just our files in it from 2.0, this I know is updated and then rehacked.

Epsilon you're the man
Still have to test the AI or the 2.7 version but it's GREAT to say the least and you should be given credit for your awesome effort!

So no real difference then, since both are working? |
Your not that bright are you?

damn, awesome game! I never played TA, and it shows lol. I've been playing for probably 3 hours against the computer, single player skirmish on that 2 player map that kind of looks like a big 8. I haven't beaten the EASY ai once How do you build nukes and the experimental tech level stuff? I built some tech level 3 builders, but I couldn't figure out how to build any of the cool shit.
I turned off the fog of war, so i could watch what the cpu built and figure out the building order, but I couldn't keep up. I get carried away building defenses and tanks and shit, and forget about the energy or mass. Then before I know it i'm out of mass or energy and everything comes to a screeching halt.
It was great though, the last game I played I thought I was doing well. I was playing as the UEF or whatever, the blue guys. I had a bunch of tech2 tanks and some of those tech3 walkers. the ai was about to hit me, and i got all my stuff lined up, had lots of aa and ai defense. Then this huge ufo comes over and pwns my two tech3 energy reactors, so I scramble my air fighters and what not. I had the UFO thing down to 3/4 health, and i got nuked! I had all my buildings and commander bunched up in this one heavily defended area, just perfect for a nuke strike I guess. fun game, can't wait for retail!

Epsilon and csebal, thanx for the hard work, the game works perfect!!
There is one thing I hope, and that is : I hope that they make the hud smaller!!!
There is not mutch room left to play.
Something else that is amazing: a level loads here in about 4 seconds, I thought this game would be extremely heavy, but its not!!!
Splendid!!!!
This will be a winner!!!!

Phew.. i managed to get the game working. No idea what it was, but my guess would be that my dual monitor setup may have caused the problems. I disabled the secondary display, and the game started to run just fine. Well... i also disabled about everything else that could be a possible reason for my problems.
Anyone out there playing this one with a dual monitor setup? Anyone by chance, who has a dual monitor setup and having his system lock up whenever he gets into the game?

Geez, of course there's a difference, you did the whole thing from scratch again for v27, the other guy just copied the changed files over from v20. But since they basically do both the same thing (enable LAN/AI), there's virtually no difference between the two files for the player.
That's what I meant |
Well, provided the files that had to be modified have not changed themselves between 2.0 and 2.7, you are right. I havent compared them, as these changes are fairly simple, but if the files were modified by the patch, then its not as simple as to copy/paste the changes.
Its better to be safe than sorry. Changing the same things cost virtually no time, once you know where to look.

Yeah the original files did change between 2.0-2.7 I didn't compare them but some were larger than 2.0 and some were smaller

Epsilon, csebal;
Good job, I did find the beta on some site and downloaded your LAN/AI Patch and that is amazing.
The guys at GPG did an amazing treat to us by releasing such an open demo and it is very cool for us to try such many features of SC that early. It's a 2007 game and we may well play it alot up until 2007 with you guys' patch.
